Exactly.

because if you watch, he recovers mighty quickly and zaps Mace into next week, then rises and walks around like nothing happened.

Palpy wasnt weak, he was playing Annie, he made it seemed like he needed Annie. durh.

Wow, thank you for that, I know that, but it worked on Anakin and therefore he stressed it more to Mace.

Which showed Anakin's lack of judgement.

That doesn't matter, as far as he knew, he was doing good, he was following the Jedi code, and Palpy only had to convince Anakin.

But Anakin didn't do good, so killing a Sith in whatever condition doesn't have to go against the Jedi code. Anakin's view was too limited.

But Anakin thought he was doing good. He was staying with the Jedi code...Mace it seemed was not. Yes, his view was limited...he was promoted to Jedi knight early and wasn't a master.

His misjudgment should not count as to wether killing a seemingly defenceless Sith is the Jedi way or not. That's all I'm saying. Besides, the only reason Anakin did save Palpy is because he needed him for himself, to save Padme. Anakin was not really there as a defender of the Jedi Way. He had selfish reasons to protect his very unJedi lifestyle.

I am just using his misjudgemtn as an example...nonetheless...as far as we can possibly know...killing any unarmed opponent (Anakin said so while tempted to kill Dooku..."I shouldn't...it's no the Jedi way"😉 That in itself shows that even a Sith Lord...unarmed...should not be killed.

Again you use Anakin and his views, his judgment, as a major Jedi criterium.

And his views on what he has been taught.

Or misunderstood. He didn't get quite a number of things. That is the point, we only hear Anakin say that.

We only hear Anakin say it...but we see OB1 prove it.

HE clearly had other motives at play as well.

I don't think so.

OB1?? Lemme see: caring for Anakin (for this we must assume), promise to QGJ, generla goodness and wisdom. He said it himself to Yoda: he couldn't kill Anakin and yet Yoda kinda urged him to do just that. So who's is the caretaker of the Jedi way in matters of the Sith?

Good, I was hoping you would continue this...

If he (OB1) could kill defenceless opponents...then he should have done it...not because he was a Sith...you are right, they were friends and Yoda had to talk him into it...but if you saw your closest friend (once again...this wasn't shown as told by you so it must be assumed), would you really let him lie there suffering...burning slowly to death, not able to do anything?
No, he would have gone up and taken a quick slash at the jugular or something, yes, sounds gruesome but it would be better than letting him suffer to death, why take the worse of two roads to get to the same destination?

OB1 thought he was going to die. But he couldn't do anything...because! he was defenceless!

So you're saying a Jedi would prefer to let someone die a slow, painful and unavoidable horrible death, walk away even to let someone die in even in loneliness, because he is defenceless??? I mean, dude... that is so cruel.

The Jedi way isn't always the right way...that is why the Sith won at that time.

Huh??? So now you're saing the Sith's way is the right way?? This is getting weirder by the post?
