Becuase it's strikes me as saying "LOOK! what i just did! I'll add it to the total times and that gives me a total of ### number of times i stared a a picture (or video) and wanked off (or finger myself)"

Not being afraid and logging it are 2 different things IMO.

If you feel you need to log it to prove you're not afraid... thats speaks .... inexperience IMO 😛

Though it seems it's simply because a thing to do to be sociable here... which is even more... strange
