Not to mention how inflated the "$" symbol is in America, it means much more than currency. It's on clothing, sunglasses, tattoos, ughh, it's like like another definition of greed.
That's also true, I guess...

Money always is.

I'd love to just burn a huge pile of money... like the Joker does... that would be amazing.

with a man on top? haermm

That was a great scene.

thanks for spoiling it for me ****ers 😐

I know right? I know what it's like not to have any at all, for six years during my early teen years I lived in a car and ping-ponged between friend's houses just to sleep under a roof. I've learned the value of a dollar and although I was miserable, I was very happy.

It may sound odd, but I'd actually quite like to live like that. I've known people who've lived that way, and even though they have no money, they're not tied down to possessions or anything, and generally seem like overall more full-rounded people.

Just burn money in-front of loads of businessmen.

Yes, that life is quite interesting. All the cool people you meet and you learn so much. Having to use every resource you can, it's great, but call me lazy, now that I have income, I'd much rather buy my food now.

Well, it makes sense for you to be like that now, after having to rely on lots of different things in the past. Plus, you earn your money, so you deserve what ever kind of life you want, really.

Yeah, and in my entire struggle for finding a clean and steady life, I learned a lesson that truly shattered my dreams and logic. Music doesn't pay, the whole entertainment biz isn't cut out for originality and bold moves. That really upset me, to know that the one thing I've always wanted to do with my life is all a sham and won't take you in unless you're a flavor of the month or cater to everyone's expectations except your own. Nowadays, music is just a hobby to me now. Like a lover, I'm disgusted in seeing it but offers me cheap thrills.

I'm sorry Neo, I didn't mean to rant on your thread.

Damn, that actually really moved me. I know what you mean too, obviously not from experience, but what you say means sense. It's like people don't want people who really are passionate about music and their work anymore, just a new glammed-up quick fix of cheap entertainment to appease their shallow tastes.

No problem, everyone is making a valid point.

I wish I would've known this when I was 13. really.

I never liked music, i have always seen it that way.

Was being a musician one of your dreams when you were younger?

That's terrible... sorry to hear all that. I kinda know what having a dream shattered is like, but I couldn't imagining actually experiencing it first hand. Do you still put on some gigs occasionally? Or is it just primarily a hobby of yours these days?

it really is sad
