My apologies, Christmas parties and work don't mix well with updating RPGs. My bad.
Off to the top level, then! As you ascend, flashes of red and green blind you through the transparisteel windows as turrets fire and shields flare. The ship rocks greatly.
From the top level, where the piloting crew is hard at work, you can see the enemy starship.
Whoa.
It's rather a lot bigger than the Spearhead. You watch as the top-side turret fires into its belly, but all the shots burst against the energy shielding. It returns fire with turbolaser batteries, battering the shields greatly.
"Shields at three-seven-point-four, sir!" reports one of the crewmembers. "We can't last much longer!"
The enemy ship seems very...spherical. Or at least an ovalesque shape with more bulk to it.
At this point, you are shook off your feet by a particularly powerful explosion. Some of the controls spark and fizzle, then go out. The ship seems to tilt before righting itself when emergency power is restored.
"Erm..." the Captain says, getting to his feet. "Damage report?"
"We've lost the power generator, sir. All emergency power routed to life support..."
"And the shields? The engines?"
"Finished, sir..."
Your comlink buzzes, Xavier.
The comlink is silent for a moment. The main sensor display, which is still operating, bleeps to the crew.
"They're going to board," Cabas says.
A holographic display of the Spearhead and the pirate ship appears, showing the larger pirate ship drawing the Senator's vessel into a docking bay.
"Xavier, plug your comlink into a comms system."
The B Level is all but abandoned as you descend into it. All the passengers have fled to their rooms to await their fate, as the Spearhead has no escape pods. Once you descend further, down to the C Deck, the main social room is left empty.
As you reach the C Deck, there is much clanging and screeching about the ship as it it is sucked into the belly of the larger pirate vessel.
Awaiting the boarding party at the entrance of the ship is Master Cabas, Jan, and the security team...of ten.
"Are you sure there are not more men aboard?" Cabas asks, tiredly.
"Positive," Jan says. "Er, not too many volunteers, ya know?"
"I can see that," Cabas says. He has his lightsaber in hand, inactive.
There is clanging and voices on the otherside of the door.
"Padawan, are you ready for this?"
The security team takes up defensive positions as sparks begin to pour from the doorframe.
"Good," Cabas replies.
Snap-hiss!
His lightsaber ignites, the orange blade jumping forth. He adopts a defensive stance.
Shortly after, the pirates finish cutting through the door and...
BOOM
It is blown inwards by a plasma charge, vaporizing the door and sending burning hunks of metal inwards. You experience a brief moment of nausea as your vision is recalled, that familiar explosive detonation...but you shake it off as the pirates move in!

Jan and Cabas are hanging back with the security team, which has moved into cover. You're not sure what good your Master will do back there, really...a lightsaber is a close combat weapon.
Ten pirates move into the ship, a variety of species, all armed with hob-cob blasters. The entrance is six frames distant and they will be firing before anyone else acts...
Except you, of course! What's the plan, Xavier?
The pirates certainly don't expect that! The lightsaber goes whirly-twirly towards them.
As a reminder, mooks do not take damage; they are Outed by taking five hits or more. How effective you are at killing them is determined by the Mook Killing Power of your weapon, as well as any additional tricks you have that cooperate with your weapon.
The lightsaber comes with MKP +2 already, and your level in Carnival of Carnage gives you an additional +2. You only need an Outcome of 1 to kill any mook...
And so when you roll a 14, those three mooks are sliced up rather viciously!

The pirates are going to fire! A Force Dodge is a bit of a waste, so I'll let you rethink your defense, there...
