Lastly, it doesn't matter whether Supe's feat is greater. This is because no feat can compare to uber speed-not even a feat of destroying the entire universe. So Thor with any amount of offensive power, in theory, wouldn't get a chance to even think if Superman came at him with the gusto. And one combo until Ko is all it takes. Speed is king of all feats.

Note that both this example and John Byrne himself confirms what we’ve suspected all along: that whatever the role that metabolized solar energy stores play in granting Superman his powers, he is obviously accessing power beyond that of the solar energies he can absorb. A few minutes in the sun is piddling compared to galaxies of power. All of Superman’s greatest feats exceed the energy he could have gleaned from 30 years of absorbed sunlight. Apparently the solar energy is either “hypermetabolized” (as per JLA scribe Grant Morrison), indicating energy generation via Unified Field/Big Bang, or the metabolized solar energy allows access to his deeper power, likely psionic in nature (as John Byrne has already confirmed).
Also, seen and explained by writers such as Stern and L. Simonson, Superman's strength increases geometrically in accordance to his proximity to the sun. The amount of solar energy he's converted determines the amount of strength his psionic potential provides.
And true, if Superman uses his top speed to blitz Rune King Thor with the UN then he can combo him (before he even thinks) until KO. So yes Superman>>>>>>>>>Rune King Thor with the UN.
