This is sort of my standard lineup on this sort of thread. I'm not sure they all qualify as B-list. Maybe A-minus, but definitely with no true icons. Still, half of the teams posted so far are random assortments of cosmic beings, so I feel alright with it.
Leader: Wonder Man
The team is based around Simon taking a more proactive approach to the superhero aspect of his life, which he has often neglected. A major disaster in L.A. prompts him to recreate the West Coast Avengers, and he recruits people he trusts the most in the hero community.
Ms. Marvel
Also seeking a more proactive approach to her superhero career, Carol agrees to join Simon's new team as the tactical field leader.
The Vision
Pre-Disassembled, the Vision is an obvious choice for Simon's team.
The Beast
One of Simon's best friends, he agrees to come out to L.A. in a heartbeat.
Scarlet Witch
I dunno, I'd retcon House of M or something. Would anyone really miss it?
Quicksilver
On the team at Wanda's behest. Trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the hero community.
Raider
A one-time patsy of the supervillain Rampage, he is still in possession of the duplicate armor given to him to combat Wonder Man a few years ago. A good man at heart, he has been hesitant to use the armor for fear of being confused with the villain. He eventually confronts Simon, who asks him to join the team. Simon, after all, has a keen interest in redemption. This also gives him the opportunity to brush up on his munitions background, as Raider has no technical proficiency to speak of and relies on Simon for repairs and upgrades to the armor.
Spider
Wonder Man's former neighbor and wannabe sidekick who became imbued with a portion of Simon's ionic energy, allowing him to create ionic duplicates of himself. It had been revealed that Spider kept a portion of the energy when he gave the bulk of it back. Simon learns of this and asks Spider to join the team out of a sense of responsibility over the kid.
