It's gonna be crap. Basically they're cutting corners and expenses by hiring crappy artists. Wolverine Snikt! was good example of doing a blend right with a good author. I mean come on look at the bio of one of the authors "Raina Telgemeier is best known for her work as the writer and illustrator of The Babysitter's Club graphic novels"

Hopefully the artist on the Wolverine manga will be decent, since the X-Men manga and Wolverine manga don't share a continuity. Maybe he won't like girly Shojo Wolverine.

A Takeshi Obata Wolverine would be pretty sweet but I have problem with Kohta Hirano's art. His proportions are all wonky... everyone has super long arms and legs. 🙁

I really hope he does some of the characters, or at least 1 book. The man's art style is completely unique in the world of mangaka.

I actually think it's a pretty clever way for Marvel to strike out at manga.

Veteran to the comics world doesn't know whether to try out manga... sees horrible, horrible, godawful rendition of Manga X-Men. Decides to buy latest edition of Astonishing X-Men instead, and will never buy manga again. Ever.
