Maul beats Asajj. Why?

1. In Dark Rendezvous, Asajj tells Dooku that Sidious will uss Dooku up, here's the dialogue:
«He's going to use you up, Count. He'll drain the blood from you and throw you aside. He'll pick someone younger, weaker, easier to influence.»
«Someone like you?»
«I wish. No, when you go, I'll be swept aside,» she said morosely. «I'm just one of your creatures, to him. Maybe to you, too. Loyalty runs stronger up than it does down, in case you hadn't noticed.»
So, according to Asajj, she isn't good enough to be Sidious apprentice. Maul isn't only good enough to be his apprentice, Sidious actually hand-selected Maul out of a galaxy of hundreds of billions of beings. Put it this way, Sidious hand-selected Maul out of everybody in the entire galaxy, and traiend him to be a killing machine. Dooku, looking for a powerful advisary, simply found Asajj and sent her out to fight in the Clone Wars. I doubt he put as much effort into finding yet another dark acolyte as Sidious did in finding an apprentice.
2. Maul, when not at his full strength, took on Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, 2 on 1, and nearly beat them. He would have won if Kenobi hadn't gotten lucky, and he killed Qui-Gon. Asajj wasn't to far ahead of J'ai Maruk, and Qui-Gin > J'ai Maruk. Asajj also barely beat Kit Fisto, and Qui-Gon > Kit. Proof of this can be provided if necessary. And remember that this was Maul not as his full strength. The quote for him not being at full strength can be provided, if necessary, as well.
3. Maul beat Anoon Bondara, who was stated in 2 different novels to be the best swordsman in the order. Again, Asajj was barely ahead of Kit Fisto - a least half a dozen of the order's best swordsman could beat Asajj.
4. When enraged, Maul nearly killed Sidious in a lightsaber duel. Asajj was about on par with Obsession Anakin, and neither of them could almost kill Sidious in a lightsaber duel.
5. In he fought ANH Vader and nearly won - as a matter of fact, he was winning the entire time, until Vader got desperate and stabbed his lightsaber through his own body and into Maul, a move that nearly killed himself. Leland Chee confirmed the canonicity of the story on his blog:

Not only do people here put Vader above Asajj, they even put him above Dooku.
6. Physically, Asajj is very fit and strong, but Maul is a beast and has spent 22 years doing absolutely nothing except training. He is in better shape than she is and is bigger as well.
I see no reason why Asajj would win. Maul takes her.

Just replying to this.. as it is the most flawed.
Assaj's point was that to Sideous Dooku and Assaj were simply tools, she was smart enough to realize that he held no feelings of affection, or any real feelings to either of them. Once they had overextended there usefulness Sids would have just disposed of them, then he would move on to someone younger, more powerful, and equally malleable. Enter Anakin.
Maul was no different, to Sideous he was nothing more then another pedestal with which to meet his goal. As soon as Maul overextended his own usefulness Sideous would have gotten rid of him to, like garbage, and he wouldn't have even missed him. Maul was nothing more then a pawn just like everyone else.
I highly doubt that she fought Anakin while he was in the same state of mind as he was while duelling Tyranus. Plus she is able to match Skywalker's brute physical strength much more aptly than Dooku could. So yes, if she fought Anakin in "teh zone" she would get annhilated, however her duel against Anakin in the Clone Wars is an impressive accomplishment.
And no, Dooku would piss all over her in the duelling department. 😛
