Chess Masters (Marvel Odin and DC Darkseid)
Before you go on, let me just explain. The point here, is to take a Human Character, (Hero or Villain), and power them up just enough so that their smarts, experience and skills, put into a Powerful Form, will make them Very Dangerous, even to characters that are way more powerful.
An accident has breached the walls between realities, and Apocolypse is now Connected to Asgard. A short battle ensues, but both leaders see the folly in continuing the war with an adversary so powerful.
During a parlay, it is decided that both will create a Champion, based on the rules of the other.
The Champions will then battle. To the Death.
The loser, will of course be dead. The entire kingdom he represents must leave their world to the winner. Forever.
The Rules:
Odin creates a pair of Gauntlets that grant the wearer
Class 75 Strength
Flight, (on the order of Submariner)
Speed, (on the order of Whizzer)
Durability, (on the order of the Thing)
The Gauntlets can only be worn by a Marvel or DC Character that is completely HUMAN. The Gauntlets cannot be taken off.
Darkseid, being... well, himself, instead of giving power to a chosen HUMAN, decides that his choice will have his mind Transplanted into the Body of a Super Powered Being, (effectively killing the mind of that super powered being in the process).
The Character being possessed must be in the same powerset as Odin's Champion.
In other words, no Top-Tiers. Nobody too strong, or too powerful.
Examples:
Odin's Champion- Kingpin get's the Gauntlets
Darkseid's Champion- Daredevil takes over the body of Hawk from DC.
