It could be:

A) that they scar and heal like an accelerated version of our natural healing process. Therefore they scar in any case.

B) they don't necessarily scar but being that the neck is a weak point of some kind of grey area in healing as decapitation is the only way to kill them.

C) A little of both.

fair...sorta makes some sort of sense that they're just superhuman - as opposed to the extended back story used to make the second film. That made no sense "you're a highlander - UBER SCOTTISH POWERS OF IMMORTALITY" "now you're an alien from the planet blargh caught in a massive war..." - fail ❌
