Raising a Sith

Is it just me, or do sith always seem more succesful when they were first trained by jedi, then converted to the dark side, as opposed to siths who were always on the dark side. Comments anyone?

I don't think one has anything to do with the other.. They all have the same "kill the jedi" mentality.
