Sadako of Girth
Extreme Mode
But the boarding chute was still seen.
I just saw it on youtube.
And while G1 is STILL king for me, overall, much better than I had initially suspected and better than the movie last year..
My opinion of the post-Pokemon design feel still is unchanged.
Bendy organic looking metal just doesnt work for me.
Yes Prime is an irritating wussy in this (The voice sounds like Casey Casem who did Cliffjumper's voice in G1 which is cool though) and why the Autobots arent armed with anything other than melee weapons is beyond me... (Maybe they are toy gimmicks)
Its cool that they have tried to make the central MacGuffin more Matrix like, but they STILL have to call it "Allspark(tm)"... 🙁
And the transforms largely were cool, but when they stared to go into slow mo 20 mins long Pokemon battle backing style transforms, then my mind pukes blood all over it's nice new trousers.
And I thought that the reawakening from stasis/monster things a load of old bollocks, but this arrival version was way more G1-ey than Bayformers.
I liked the character design a lot better than I thought I would.
The heads are all recognisable... Bumblebee looks like he was based on Classics Bumblebee (certainly in alt. mode) Starscream rocked.
Megatron came WAY better than Bay's "Xmas tree of GRRRRR!" as the cold, intelligent, calculating Megatron that we all knew before.
The humour was a big strength, I thought, with a well paced and funny warm eighties TFS feel to a lot of it and the human characters for once weren't too irritating for my tastes.
And the cyber-detroit thing was cool too.
Anyone else see Spike, Carly and Daniel....? That rocked.
So this is me admitting to being surprised by this and admitting also to having enjoyed it.
