Extras: Christmas Special

I take it someone managed to watch this? Television gold, Tony 'Adley style. Can't wait till I next go in Carphone Warehouse and have the Mitchell Brothers serving me.

Yep, I loved it. Clive Owen was hilarious, "Fu*k off, I'm Clive Owen!" I loved the Big Brother scene where Andy apologises to Maggie. Gervais proves once again that he is a great actor.

It was the first time I'd seen him pull off some decent acting and he made a great job of it.

Thought this was good, its the only thing ive watched on tv for a while, it was funny, touching, moving, had some rather good acting from Ricky Gervais in particular and interesting social commentary, watched it from beginning to end and never changed channels once, which is unusual for me, all tv should be as good as this.

The first time I thought, "Wow he's a great serious actor as well as comedy" was in The Office when he was made redundant. Great in Extras too.

Yeah he was great in the redundancy scene as well. I look forward to seeing what Gervais' and Merchant's new offering will be.

Well, he was alright, not great, in that scene. Oh well.

Well, yeah not he's no Kevin Spacey, but he was pretty good in that scene. Especially considering he hadn't acted before The Office.

Maybe not but he sung like a Tony Hadley in the 80s.

I watched it. I love this show. And any one watches the American version of the Office and thinks it's better than the original is ****ing NUTS!

I loved Extras. Although anyone who watched it knows something happened between the 1st and 2nd seasons; something was off in 2. Maggie was just irritatingly stupid all of the sudden. In season 1 she was oblivious, but in 2 she just got annoying. Her handling in the season finale was well done and much more in line with the first season, so cheers for that.

Yeah, I think you're right about Maggie in season 2. I loved the special, it was some of the best TV I've ever seen to be honest. Gervais is a talented bastard, giving us The Office and then Extras. Merchant too, can't forget his involvement.
