bought it and loved it. good movie

So I bought this, and well to me, it was good, but it wasn't great. I expected much more. casual RE fans are gonna find this film so confusing. I barely know what the G-Virus is, but I'm glad it had a mention.

I watched it out of sheer fandom for the series, and it did satisfy the fan in me with some of the homages it paid. However, I wasn't overly impressed with it. As Zack Fair already said, it seemed like a 90 minute cut scene, which isn't necessarily a terrible thing. Sometimes it just seemed like Leon and Claire were just kind of... there for the sake of being there though. I felt Leon was portrayed a bit strangely as well.

Overall, I didn't dislike it, but I think it could have been better.

Spoiler:
Not only that but Claire threw Leon's gun back to him after she saved Rani in the early airport outbreak scenes. I guess her Redfield genes just make her too badass to actually carry the gun with her?

Agreed. The Redfield gene is above firearms. Chris is just too dense to realize it.

It finally got released in Australia and i Brought it and i liked it alot better then the live action movies

also liked the bloopers on the dvd 😆

and the creature at the end was goofy

in what way ?

Good Movie!

I saw this a few days ago. I didn't like it... At all. They could've just changes the characters and called it Doom II. It also had Balamb Garden, which I don't get.

I liked it but there were some problems.

1: Where the heck is Albert Wesker?
2: The movie needed more monsters. Zombies and G-Virus isn't enough.
3: The movie is short.

Why ?

it feel like Resident Evil to me

sounds like you feel asleep.

I dislike Degeneration Leon. In RE2 he's a pussy rookie. In RE4 he's a wisecracking action hero. In Degen...he's...a blank slate. With no expression in his voice or face. He's lost all feeling.

But apart fromt hat, i liked the movie.

Last I checked, Resident Evil had more than one or two monsters. Zombies and G-Virus that's it? No hounds, no lickers, no other creatures, just those two? That's ridiculous.

How would they have gotten Lickers, Hounds and any other creature when Raccoon city got nuked where the underground Umbrella base was??

I highly doubt they would of had a base underneath a airport or even a Pharmaceutical company that has no links to a former orginization thats been shutdown.

I enjoyed it... 👆

agreed

I liked it, It felt like Resident evil, the building/room designs, the music (kept reminding me of earlier typerwriter rooms.) and overall the character models especially how close Curtis's mutation mirrored that of Birkins.

Like what was stated above I was not fond of Leon's new blank demeanor but it did not diminish anything from the film, I wasn't to surprised by the villain (seeing how he was British, and practically every British man is a villain in films.) But overall a great film; I think I'll go pick up a copy along with RES 5; speaking of which, I really enjoyed that little Tricell cameo.

If Degeneration was left off after the events of RE4, you think that something like Plagas or a cult in Europe would've been mentioned. I'm just wondering why things in RE4 aren't mentioned when Capcom tells us the movie is after that game. It probably would've been humerous if Ashley kept annoying Leon through the phone asking him to go out with her.

bump

Rewatched it yesterday, still enjoyable (especially the first 30 mins).

Apparently there is RE: Vendetta coming in 2017?

Thanks

No problem.

I enjoyed both Degeneration and Damnation, so I'm looking forward to it. And yeah, always good to see more Leon S. Kennedy.
