Yes, and Hulk seemed to be respecting his courage rather than his strength.

It looked to me like Things punches did more damage than Colossus did, AND Hulk was angrier when fighting the Thing, AND he was fighting Hulk solo.

Don't know who'd win between Colossus and Ares.

It had nothing to do with Hulk respecting Colossus’s courage. Colossus has grown stronger over the years and the Hulk acknowledged his improvement. IIRC, Hulk even states that in the past Colossus’s strength might have been a challenge for him but in Hulk's current state, he was no match

Well considering they were locked in a test of strength when he made those comments I'm inclined to believe he was comparing Colossus' strength to his old levels.
