Darth Maul?

To be honest, I didn't really care about darth maul, sure he was an ok villian, but when I first saw EP I, I was more interested in the story line and expecting the movie to be the best. Darth Maul aint so special to me....

He looks good, but as a character he's very shallow. Just a fighting dog.

I take that as an agreement.

Maybe he forgot how to type.

I have nothing against Maul, but he is rather boring character wise, no story line...no background...

Indeed.

I take that as an agreement.

You can.

And so I do.

I guess, the double bladed lightsaber was cool

He sure as F was a lot better than Dooku. I kinda like general grevious though.

He is way overrated.

Actually, (and I cant believe Im saying this,) but he does have a very cool back story if you read Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter. Im normally not a big fan of the novels but this one was very cool.

TPM would have been worse than what it was without Maul
Hes pretty much the only decent thing in it with Liam Neeson coming up a close 2nd in a 2 horse race.
He made that movie and considering hes kind of like a martial arts throwing Sarah Connor hunting style assassin who has about 5 lines and as much screen time as a member of Jabbas palace in ROTJ it says everything you need to know about TPM.

It stank.

I think back to the summer of 99 and all that springs to mind is that red and black face, the double bladed lightsabre with Duel Of The Fates in my head wherever i saw him from magazine to tv to toy shop.
Ive met Ray Park twice and ive told him as im sure many others have that he rescued that movie and you know what he told me back??

"youre right!"

Hahaha, cool. He was never bothered that Maul's great voice was not his?

He was just pleased that he was a Sith that wasnt hidden under a helmet
He told a few stories about how they cut most of his best stunts .e.g running up walls unaided by wirework and how LFL pretty much were an arse regarding him doing personal appearances.
He also mentioned he liked to train listening to Limp Bizkit.

No ones perfect!

Cool.

No helmet eh? Hidden under layers and layers of make-up doesn't count?

i guess he got a better deal than Prowse,Mayhew and Bulloch in the make up/costume dept
i cant remember if i thought "ah thats what he looks like under the face paint" when i first saw Ray Park sans make up though

At least his face could move, and that is very cool, meeting Ray Park.
