There is a series of metal that sounds like other metal on youtube. However, it is slightly unfair because it tends to nail different thrash bands chugging on an open E (or D or whatever they are tuned to) which is just a standard thrash move.

If you haven't,take a listen to the two songs i mentioned above.It's kind of creepy.But yeah some metal bands tend to do that.I guess it's more in the style,opposed to coping directly from a song.
