Iceman question

I was pondering Iceman today. Admittedly, I do not know all his showings like some of you. In order to stop him, would it be possible to freeze him if he were in a vapor state? The reason I ask is that it seems to me that to unfreeze himself he would actually have to be able to not only freeze water, but heat it as well. Any thoughts?
