I decided to start taking the bus to work.....

For monetray reasons, I decided to ride the bus to and from work. I told my sis about it, and this is the message she sent me:

i just pulled up ridemetro.org and did a trip planner from the shop to laquinta and you go from the shop to jensen and crosstimbers and change busses there. it says you have to wait 10mins but it will probably be like 15 or 20mins. that is a really bad part of town your gonna get mugged so you had just better keep driving your truck and if it breaks down dad will probably let you drive his pathfinder until you fix it. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE BUS TO WORK YOU MIGHT GET MURDERED.

hell yeah, I aint gonna let a bad part of town deter me from saving money. Its only a dollar a ride with one transfer, so thats 2 bucks a trip, 4 bucks a day total.

Taking the bus isnt such a bad idea, specially with gas prices being as they are.
I understand your sisters pleading too. She obviously cares a lot for you so be careful and stay safe.

My sis is a typical big sis, but she worries about me far more than she should. She thinks since I am not married with 2.5 kids that my life is lacking.

And gas prices, MAN...thats my main reason for taking the bus. Plus I got a taste of the 730 am rush hour traffic today, DAMN THAT.

Yeah, I'd seriously consider taking the bus if I was in your situation.

Dude, I CANT forget about the gas prices, especially with me driving a Chevy Silverado.

and yeah, I am familiar with it, it's my old stomping grounds, and it is indeed a rough part of town. When I used to hang there, I always had two or three brothers with me.

I used to go to the one in Oakland, but the losers of the fights had to suffer intense sodomy at the hands of D-Mobb and his crew. So I don't go as much.

There's a bad part the next suburb over, somebody was stabbed there and died a few weeks ago. Though it's not nearly as bad as places in the US. I walk the street at day when I'm going to my friends flat and it's quite safe. Though sometimes I do get paranoid and will get a ride from someone.

Becareful, my Jedi friend. Many say "Oh, it wont happen to me..."

That part of town is coming up, my sis is just being overly protective as usual.
