Sentry, Gladiator, Supreme - all Superman Ripoffs.

Captain Marvel was originally a much more powerful
rip off of Superman. DC then amped Supes to match making him a rip off of Marvel...while attempting to weaken Marvel in the process vs Superman.

Plastic Man and anyone else who stretches is a rip off of Mr. Fantastic.

Maul, Doomsday, Grundy, Mongul and the like - all rip offs of Hulk.

Darkseid is a monsterous rip off of Thanos.

Martian Manhunter ripped off Vision, Charles Xavier and Kitty pride.

💃

Grundy came before Hulk...Plasticman came before Reed Richards and Darkseid came right before Thanos. Im not even going to comment on the Manhunter thing. 😆

Youre right about Plastic man...I mean to say Elongatedman...that purple dude. He appeared a few months in DC (Flash I think) after Reed FF4#1

FYI When Solomon Grundy was created (Although before Hulk in 1944) He was pretty much just a zombie that hated GL. Sometime after the 70s he became more and more like the Incredible Hulk...even in size, facial appearance, and even speech. this is not really debatable. Writers and artists have even commented on this.

And the Manhunter thing was only a joke btw. 😛

I know that was a joke so my comment was followed by a 😆 . Yeag Elongated Man is a Reed rip off but both are surpassed by Plasticman.

Lobo is a rip off of wolverine... not powers, but a parody of Logan's bad attitude and inability to curse properly.

1) Ralph Digby made his 1st appearance in The Flash vol. 1, #112 May 12, 1960; the 1st ish of FF wasnt until '61.

2) even when he fought Alan back in the '40s, Grundy was a big, hulking brute who took alot of dmg and broke thru just about everything he came across; the only diff is that he wasnt DRAWN as large as the Hulk.

admittedly, that visual tweak came later, but in how the character behaved that was LONG BEFORE established.

Again, Grundy's Durabilty Strength, Appearance were not anywhere near Base Savage Hulk like levels until the mid-late 70's.

He was simply more of a Frankenstein type monster.....later he became much more of a Hulk clone.

I didnt say they were, and I dont think he was made to look like SH in the 70s either; I never took him for to be that anyways when I read ASC back then.

I've noticed a lot of the sarcasm is flying over people's heads in this topic.

don't say sentry, the characters are COMPLETELY different

Wrong forum.

Moved...

Most of the Golden age characters were inspiration for Marvel comics. Meanwhile DC re-invented their own characters during the silver age.

Glory is a Wonder Woman ripoff.

Moon Knight and Batman

Nova = GL
