Drafts on Sunday won't be closed till Friday, i actually decided this the other day, realizing it couldn't hurt at all. So no worries.

hmm, only problem -- if the last person doesn't draft til friday, there won't be any time to discuss possible bans or objectionable characters. could we maybe end the draft tuesday or wednesday just to allow for discussion of picks?

and one other thing -- if someone drafts a character who gets banned as part of his amalgam, can the person repick the entire amalgam or do they get stuck with the one and are forced to replace the banned character?

ban while the draft continues, that's why the thread is open.

An amalgam can only have individual characters banned. if one of the characters that makes up the fusion is over the cap, that character is banned. Therefore, you just find a substitute character.

I have a small announcement to make. As part of my He-Man/Skeletor fusion amalgam I'll be receiving a Battle Cat/Panthor fusion amalgam as a mount because He-Man and Skeletor's mounts are pretty much standard equipment for them(I already cleared it all with Red). Just thought I'd go ahead and make sure everyone knew now so no one gets surprised by it when things get going.

all righty. there were some very creative picks these first couple rds. among them, there are only a couple i have any problems with.

madison jefferies i have issue with. i researched him quite extensively in hopes of maybe taking him, however, when i saw that he is (by all evidence) INDESTRUCTIBLE while merged with box, i figured there is no way he should be allowed. he is quite a bit beyond the killability limit for this tournament. here is a quote from his bio on alphanex, the best source of info on any and all things alpha flight:

While phased he truely is indestructable as journeying to Liveworld in his spaceship form it was completly destroyed, but he merely phased a new metal body and then phased his organic body out of it unharmed

in many ways, while phased, jefferies is very similar to henshaw. while part of box, he is also immune to cable-level tp. 😬

i vote to ban jefferies for exceeding the durability cap.

the only other one i question is firestorm. admittedly, i don't know much about him currently, but i've . . . heard from a couple people who are suggesting he should be looked at closely. so i was wondering if anyone had more knowledge about him so we could make a more informed decision.

so, my list (feel free to copy and add or just add your votes):

Jefferies: exceeds killability cap
Firestorm: awaiting further proof
Lang: fox against (ohk)
