Like I said in the thread exams are starting up, my time to be on here is diminished and I have been unable to to get into contact with Red either on here or MSN, and I don't want to make any decisions on a team or the tourney without talking to him because it really is his tourney.

we need to have 2 or 3 tournies going at once apparently in the event that one of them collapses/ends-ignominiously. not sure why al the trouble with tournaments all of a sudden. in the past they ran just fine. these delays sap enthusiasm. imo if any match CAN be going on, it SHOULD be going on. people read them and get excited for their own matches and things push onwards. i'm not buying the whole "these things are harder to run they everyone thinks" argument. they worked fine in the past. we have several people online a lot. matches CAN be made or assigned. at the least assign matches and if no one shows, DQ them or call it quits so we can move on to the next tourney in hopes IT might be effective.
(oh, and finals and all that should be taken in account at the time of sign up, or a PLANNED hiatus should be decided upon instead of things just drying up without anyone knowing what's happening. besides, not everyone has finals.)
i realize this is just for fun, its a comic tourney yada-yada. maybe it's silly to stand on principle in regards to something like this, but it really is frustrating to sign up, look forward to it, the see it disintegrate.
nj, you really should go ahead and start up your event, imo.

I was letting everyone know who was trying to ask me questions regarding teams and other stuff that I can not do so unless getting into contact with Red to answer them, and finals have made that hard to do.
What I was trying to get at is that these questions should be given directly to Red so he can make decisions on them as it is his tourney.

i understood exactly what you were saying nj. in point of fact you've been the one who's been around MOST in this thing. i love red, but that really is part of the problem. he just hasn't kept things moving along. he needs to be on here a lot more than he is or the whole thing becomes, as it has, directionless. i thought psycho was already and just awaiting the go-ahead from red. but . . . we've heard nothing. 🙁
i was saying you should go ahead and start up YOUR tourney. i'd suggest you consider making it invite only, and try and find only people you know will follow through with the whole thing . . .
Ok then if Red is on Vacation I will make co-cooridnator decision on the matter.
psycho gundam I'm sorry but I can not approve of your team without red being here, but what I can do in the preliminary is this.
The pools who can have their matches up and going please send me the write-ups you sent Red.
I know the prep time, I know the locations so I can make those matches.
Once I have them all for a single match I will post them today at some point.

Like I said I understand perhaps this first day people were not on or maybe had to retype, regardless now a timer is on.
At 9:00 Monday eastern standard time the matches that should be up will go up.
If I do not get your opening post the fact of the matter is your prep time will become forfeit and you can not take any actions before the start of battle. This also means that any prep work that your teammates used you for will also become forfeit.
Here is a list of everyone. The deadline goes for the Pool A and Pool C matches. So get your Opening posts in ASP. As of this post you guys have 19 hours and 17 minutes to get your OP posts in.
