Stop it once the crap after Trooper starts.
so . . . what was the match you most enjoyed in this tournament so far? anyone remember any other tournament matches that they thought were really good ones?
is THIS finals reasonably entertaining? (no comments on who you think is winning -- that should be self-evident anyway . . . 😄 ) i just mean is it at least entertaining to read?
i hate boring people . . .
Ok then guys I want to clarify things on a ruling.
When I say that null field will effect all items except for simple tech like watches. That does not include things like guns. Cause it is impossible for a human being to hurl a piece of metal at super sonic speeds, or see in infrared.
Now simple items also includes simple weapons like clubs, and sharp spears. As for the material they can be made out off. It can be made out of anything. But materials like Vibranium that have special properties will be nixxed while in the null field. Of course all of these things get everything back when the null field drops.
I hope this clears everything up for everyone a little bit.
i keep learning things about the battlefield DURING the match. 😐
when it was stated we were in a cell, i'd assumed we were locked in since it was a prison and simple locks don't require power . . .
i don't blame smurph for wanting to make an amendment based on his own confusion, but HIS alteration was made as a direct counter to my own plan. ie -- my bomb was based on our being locked in a cell and his guys being grouped together. his counter? apparently the doors are NOT locked and so he has his guys scatter and seperate. that MAY very well have been what he would have done had he understood the situation clearly but i trust everyone can understand my pov and why i might have a problem with it. my amendment did not directly counter anything he did in prep. i just wanted to avoid injuring my OWN team. his alteration directly impacts my initial attack. 😬
Originally posted by leonidasIt actually wasn't based on your own plan... and I could have done what I did regardless of the amendment.

And they aren't exactly scattering... they're all just running for the door. The first one out obviously stands the best chance of rescuing the entire team.
I've already covered all the reasons why I wouldn't think it would work, and the fact that the blast radius is small is one reason in a long list.
I understand your point of view, and why you're irked. Believe me, I sat down for quite some time and talked things out with Newjak, and did my best to remove your plan from my mind when I thought logically about what a large group of people would do if they were in an open prison cell with complete schematics of the prison and ten minutes to operate.
I thought "well, surely the prison has a door... or windows or SOMETHING".
So they rush to the nearest exit. Even if they don't have a chance in hell of making it, I find movement more likely than sitting there, given that their primary plan has gone out the window, and they've lost all coordination, while knowing that you haven't.
Don't really know what else to say... I frankly feel that I was hit quite a bit harder by the completely undefined rules which are now screwing my original plan of attack. And if Newjak hadn't clarified, I would have at least cut my way out of the cell... which would have screwed your blast radius anyways...

Found it!
Acheron is a plane of existance made up entirely of . . . giant floating cubes! On the lowest layer there is a "constant blizzard of bladelike shards" that are noted to ignore damage reduction, much like adamantium.
What say you now?

nah. cuz the effects of your anti-metal were nullified. you'd be cooped up for the duration. 😬
we're -- neither of us -- handling this battlefield very well. 😬
i should have researched it more closely and asked more questions to clarify things better. i really believed we were each in a locked cell and that the idea was we couldn't do anything until 10mins was up. i thought that was the INTENDED premise. i never thought to ask if the doors were locked. it was a prison. i assumed we were locked in. the idea also meshed with what i THOUGHT was nj's intention.
MY FAULTY ASSUMPTION.
we seem to have placed the onus on nj for our own stupidity. all apologies to nj who has done a GREAT job in not only coming up with a cool (and taxing!) battlefield and in being very willing to compromise, but for making sure this thing REACHED a finals in the first place.
sorry nj. 😮
