In accordance with everyone's schedules, I am tentatively scheduling the final match for May 10th, 2008.

Tournament Fields and Assigned Letters
a) In the middle of a Blizzard in Antarctica
b) Sahara desert in the middle of a Sandstorm
c) An evacuated San Francisco with extremely thick fog and 4.5 magnitude earthquakes on the Richter scale occurring every 3 minutes.
d) Caribbean island in the middle of a typhoon
e) A very Dense and thick tropical African jungle
f) On the rim of an active volcano on a Pacific island - active lava flows scorch the island landscape
g) Underground with a vast cave interior (with no natural light source)
h) An empty and abandoned Asteroid M
i.) Dinosaur Era Battlefield - Various Species of Dinosaurs from T-Rex to Raptors to Teridayctl roam the badland landscape.
j.) Post-Apocalyptic New York City (Barren, deserted, and half destroyed)
k.) Massive underground abandoned underground subway system (Empty tunnels, miles of old track, and old rusty subway cars, and no natural light source)
L.) ????? Area: This area morphs and cycles through A to K fields with a change occurring every five minutes.

Anyhow, when I was asked to participate in the semi final. I was really out of ideas and backed up with work and side projects, however one idea did pop up.
Since I had accesses experience from all previous fights, I was going to pull of the Jean Grey stunt. The whole recreating characters by pulling the psionic essence from the astral plane into a psionic shell. This would work extremely well, since I had an hour of prep and many diverse characters to work with. Not to mention an extremely potent miniature army.
I faced two problems.
1) the most important, was recreating Jean Grey was ruled out. Since I was communing outside of physical plane. Huge problem for me, since Psionic and the astral plane directly intertwine with one another. My character is built to make use, and vary well abuse its relationship.
2) for some maybe all, how willing would characters be to all of a sudden aid my cause? With out mind control, not to many. So the Dr. Doom and maybe even the Doctor was out of my reach. I mean in character, they basically do what ever the want.

But if you want my advice, I think the one flaw in your amalgam was that people were unsure if you cain's mind could really use the gems to their full capacity. You would definitely get a boost, but perhaps if you selected a different mind like Adam Warlock, Reed Richards, etc then you would have really been able to use the gems to their full capacity.

but yeah, i'm for keeping characters totally intact, thats what teams are for, backing each other up. amalgams take most of the built in weaknesses out of a character, an amalgam of three is far cheaper than a two person amalgam as the third character is only used to erase weakness, for example-
superman has a weakness to k'nite and magic so all you have to say is superman's powers added to a combo of dr. doom with thor's body and hammer.no more k'nite/magic weakness, you win.
Hey, I really hate to do this again, but these last few weeks I have been absolutely swamped. Could my match possibly be pushed back a day? If it would inconvenience Goob, Evangel, or the voters then I totally understand and I’ll try to make due, but I probably won’t be able to get a post in til Sunday. Well, Sunday it is then Typhus, but I don't want to push back the date any further if I don't have too. It's been a while since the last match, and it's about time we wrapped this up and declare a champion.
