Why did you chuckle? They're a new party without much support...anything else I'm missing?Otherwise, I'm all for libertarian ideals. I wish them the best.

They took the time to make a Wiki article when there was nothing to put in it. Unless people obsessively update Wiki's information about powerless political movements.
The latter is correct.

Exactly. But ya know, politics certainly isn't exactly a sane business.
Pretty much.

What's so great about Ron Paul?
To list a few:
* Ron Paul has a nonintervention foreign policy

* Ron Paul is a proponent of free trade and rejects isolationism

But the best part is that he won't ever be elected.

I really don't understand why voters don't flock to Ron Paul. (Actually, I do. See below.)
My brother's in law actually laughed at me when I told them that I support Ron Paul from the republican side. They said, "that guy's crazy." The then told me that I am a victim of his propaganda. I laughed at them out loud. I told them, "What propaganda; you mean all those "times" he was given a fair chance to debate and given fair publicity by main stream media?" I told them that they have fallen victim to propaganda AGAINST Ron Paul because they haven't taken the time to educate themselves on his points; but, instead, they just watched the other candidates laugh at him during the debates and because they are closed minded Mormons, they thought that the other republicans MUST be right to laugh at Paul.(Yeah, I paid attention to the fact that it appears that the other republicans seemed to be united against Ron Paul. I can understand that; he makes them look bad because he is a republican.)

No, I do mean the best part.I thoroughly enjoy watching people complain that someone is so perfect but then just have sit there and realize that it doesn't matter.
I think it's enjoyable too. To watch America fall prey to a line of more "conventional" politicians who will do nothing to return America to a purer form of government it so sorely belongs. Yeah, being a sadist is fun.

I didn't know candidates actually worth voting for were funny.
Just an open question, not really on topic, I suppose.
How is Ron Paul being portrayed in the media in other countries? How are his ideas and policy being viewed? How much of it lines up with the current political heavy-weights in your countries, and what you guys see as the political ideals of those who apparently "vote" these guys into power??

It's passive and doesn't sexually arouse me. Not sadism.
Shaddenfreud is the best term.
