The Enterprise (Vs.) Superman & Flash in two different competitions

Ok, we have the latest Starship Enterprise E under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

The first competition will be against Superman in a far off sector of the galaxy. It's a competition to fly through a massive asteroid field and destroy all of the asteroids that comprise it. There are roughly a million large asteroids in the asteroid field.

The Enterprise E gets to use it's phasers and photon torpedoes. Superman gets to use his heat vision and super punches.

Who finishes destroying all the asteroids first?

The second competition will be a race against the Enterprise E and the fastest man alive, The Flash (Wally West).

They have to race from one end of the Milky Way galaxy to the other. Flash will be running on an emerald run-way track provided by the good folks of the Green Lantern Corps.

Can Flash outrun the Starship Enterprise E?

Post who you think the winner would be in both competitions....

Superman can react faster than the crew opnboard thge Enterprise. Superman wins.

Enterprise probably beats Flash though.

Even at Maximum warp, Voyager would've taken I think 75 years to return to the Alpha Quadrant..from the Delta Quadrant. As fast as the Enterprise is...it would take hundreds of years just for the ship to travel clear across the Milky Way Galaxy.

In comics, Superman is seen spanning great distances across Galaxies..and even appears on the other side of the Universe in mere moments. That is clearly faster than the Enterprise could ever hope to travel...far faster than any Borg Cube...using Transwarp conduits could ever travel either. Flash is faster than Superman...so, it is safe to say that the Flash would smoke the Enterprise in a race.

Unless the Enterprise suddenly became capable of intergalactic teleportation...

Oh...wait, the Flash already outran that...

flash wins due to CIS of the first order.

think about it, a starship designed to travel through deep space and cover distances in the shortest time PHYSICS ALLOWS. it should at least be a tie but dc doesn't believe in physics

Also, the Enterprise E is equipped with quantum torpedoes too... not that they'd make a huge difference, but still...

I'm pretty sure Data and Geordi could figure out an efficient way of destroying all the asteroids simultaneously, rather than one by one, with phasers and torpedoes.

As for the Flash race, the Enterprise's top speed is limited by realism. No way for it to win.

Data calculational speed should be faster then Superman can react. Data's processing speed "60 trillion operations per second" or 60 teraflops

Does Flash have crazy, long distance feats like running a cross entire galaxies? (ABC logic isn't going to cut it here for me, it needs to be an intergalactic feat) If so, then he wins the race.

Data calculating faster than superman can - one of the greatest quotes ever 😆 Also if what you are saying is true about Data it is equivalent to skynet went it was first launched in terms of the number of operation it can handle per second.

Superman wins the first competition. Better reaction time and no ammo limits.

It was stated in one episode that it would take the Enterprise several years to travel 7000 light years. The galaxy is about a hundred thousand light years. The Flash wins.

Actually, skynet launched with a processing speed of 90 teraflops.

For reference, IBM currently has a machine that can process 596 teraflops.

The specs presented in that episode for Data have a caveat. The episode first aired in 1989 and at that point in time "60 teraflops" was considered incredibly impressive. 19 years later, not so much. However, if you base Data (and the Enterprise's Main Computer, for that matter) by feats rather than dated specs then, well, it's pretty much equivalent to a stated "class 100" comic book character being depicted as lifting an oil tanker. Also, Data had performed many personal upgrades to himself since that episode (in Season 2), so those specs aren't set in stone.

I was going by what was said in the movie by the staff member at the miltary base in T3 who said that it was running at 60 teraflops. That is all we getas to its processing speeds in the movies. Where did you get your information? I'm guessing some official site that outlines skynets stats or somethin....

Wiki has the Enterprise E's maximum warp as 9.985 which would be somewhere around 7,040 x the speed of light. Seems pretty fast, but in comic books characters do some crazy stuff...

Has Flash ever went that fast? I know he's gone faster than the speed of light, but has he ever gone that fast? Do any of you guys know?

With prep time, the Enterprise could probably figure out a way to destroy the asteroids, but Superman's heat vision is hotter than the sun, which I think exceeds the destructive output of the Enterprise.

As for the 2nd, no contest. Flash cannot be defeated by anything less an abstract in a race. Flash has topped 7k x SOL easily. He's got feats of reacting in picoseconds. Not to mention two other things. 1. Flash can screw the laws of physics thanks to the Speed Force. 2. He has infinite acceleration and practically unlimited energy. The Enterprise has speed limits and fuel limits.
