"Carlos.. get out of here.. they're learning to use weapons and we can't afford to lost a pilot of your skill." Jacob got to his feet and could here the hiss of the hunter as it prepared to pounce. As he closed his eyes he heard a loud bang from a shotgun and quickly jumped back. The hunter shreaked and grappled to the wall and crawled away. In the rain Jacob could see a figure in all black. "How did you know I would be here?" The other figure respoded. "You're always were the outbreak is. Besides the hunter led me right to you." Jacob was surprised. "Looks like you kept your promise." The other figure got closer and put his hand on his shoulder. "Let's catch up with the others and get to the checkpoint." They both set off towards the others.
((It's a small military checkpoint.))
Kat glanced back at him and pushed kicked open the door to the checkpoint. "Are you ok Rek? Still with me?" She turned and pushed the door shut, then laid him down against one of the walls. "Let me see your leg. I have a small amount of the antidote. I'm not sure if it will be enough to wipe out the infection completely." She pulled a flash light and the antidote out of her pack.
She looked up at him blankly, horror filled her wide eyes. When she realized that he had spoken to her again she shook her head and looked down at his leg. "You said you dont remember getting this... When would you have been down long enough to recive such a deep bite?" She bit her lip and began to clean his leg. 'Maybe it happened when he was pinned by the car... But I was beside him the whole time... He never made a sound.'
Jacob and the other person entered into the ops base at a steep sprint and slammed the door shut behind them, making sure the emergency lock sealed. "This place... should hold.. for a while.." Jacob panted trying to catch his breath, but his friend didn't seem to be affected. His friend looked over at Rek and recognized him. "I am Comandant, Nikolai Popalov at your service. We technically met in the first incident." Jacob just looked over at him. "No one asked who you were." He chuckled and responded. "Well, it's a habit in Russia to ask a savior his name." Jacob snapped back. "Well, I know who you are and technically you only saved me. Oh and now we're even."
