Kat frowned and looked over at Jacob. "Ben?... Oh wait Ben... I remember him... If he's in charge of that thing then we better hurry up and get this place blown before we run into anything else."
Shannon yawned and shuffled her feet, switching her rifle to her other shoulder. "I wonder where all the zombies are... It's quiet now.."
She smiled and laughed softly at Rek's sudden change of topic. "Fine thank you. A lot has happened since the last time I've seen you. I had the child I was carrying, it was a boy. How have you been Rek? Oh and Jacob I still havent read that letter of yours. I was too afraid that I'd start crying."
Shannon forced a smile and nodded to Rek, who she still didn't really now. Right now she was too busy trying to figure out Jacob.
Rek collapsed to the ground. He coughed violentlyband blood spattered the inside of his vizor. "Gak, urk!" He coughed the struggled to his feet. "N-negate that or-order." Rek coughed again and more blood spattered across the vizor thickly. "We go-g-t bigger problems..." Indeed, a crowd of infected were struggling along the road. "Look." He pointed weakly.

Frank relayed the order but then paused when Rek counter-manded the order. Againt his better judgement he obeyed the the mixed units senior officer. "Rek." He whispered, hearing the pain in his friends voice. "Don't be a fool." He nodded to the radio operator.
"Order undermined. Base standing-by."
Kat put her arm around Rek and helped him to his feet, and took off Rek's helmate. "Jacob is there anywhere we can get Rek so he's not in any danger? Shannon take over while I move Rek out. Follow Carlos's orders and hold the Zombies off."
Shannon nodded and took off to help out Carlos's team, along with the rest of Reclaimer while Kat waited for Jacob's orders.
"We'll need to head to the military installation.. that will take us either by the School, or the Graveyard. Either way, you don't want to deal with what's inside. We might could split all of us up, and one hits the graveyard and the other hits the school. I got a call about two days ago from two guys trapped in an apartment near the graveyard, so I'll be heading that way anyway." Jacob looked at a small map. "There were some survivors who built a barricade near the school so you may have to go inside..." He looked up at the sun, it was close to setting so they would need to move fast. It would not be wise to meet what came out after dark. As Jacob studied his new path, he was taken by surprise by what looked like a rotted corpse. It let out a gargling scream and tried to attack again. Jacob used both of his feet to kick it off and then pulled out his gun and fired a round into the skull. The body slid down motionless. "Bloody bone-walkers are out.. thought I had more time."
"reclaimer! you go with jacob. Delta. form up. well bunker down in the school and use it's roof as an lz. suppresing fire! delta covered rerclaimer as they followed jacob, then moved down an alli and used the tactical map in their heads up display. once they reached the school, they covered the open windows. and barricaded all of the doors except the one leading to the roof and the front door. they took positions near the front door to kill any infected that came in after them. carlos went to the roof and set down a green smoke flare. he activated his radio and said," calling for a ch-46 for air evac. weve set up an lz and are waiting for the other squads and the survivors. signal is the green smoke." he activated the smoke flare. smoke billowed out.
"roger that, sending heli to your location."
carlos grinned, he radiod to the other teams. "evacuation zone has been set. sending coordinates now.bring the survivors here."
"roger that." carlos ran to the first classroom door. 30 infected were attacking each other, probably starving. carlos set a minefield in all of the hallways. the office was empty and the first thing to the left was the elevator. it lead to all floors including the roof.carlos went back to the roof and pulled out his sniper rifle. he started looking around. no infected in sight.
((just so you know. the mine field is only 4 mines. they are to warn the team to go up the elevator if the zombies in the classrooms attack them. zombies cant use elevators.))
a ch-46 went flying towards the school. inside were 4 us marines. all armed with m4s. one was arming a grenade turret in the side door. the pilot in the front began to speak. "we land in 5 minutes."
Rek coughed and blood splattered across Kats chest plate. "No.." He gritted his teeth and fought the pain. "You need to be alert... I can walk." Rek pushed off of Kat and struggled to stand. He hoisted his rifle and steadied himself on Kats shoulder. "Jacob, Alpha had been ordered to secured the LZ north of the military installation. We could make for it after daybreak tomorrow." He coughed but ignored the sharp pain shooting through his chest where the car had crushed him.
