This is the ultimate face-off in a contest of testing not brawn, but brains...

Some of the greatest minds from Marvel and DC are going at it in the ultimate chess tournament to match the might of their minds, not their muscles. Whoever's team has the most wins for their universe gets to continue to survive....the opposing team gets blinked out of existence. The matches are as follows....

Match 1 - Dr. Doom Vs. Batman =

Match 2 - Reed Richards Vs. Lex Luthor =

Match 3 - Black Panther Vs. The Joker =

Match 4 - Iron Man Vs. Blue Beetle =

Match 5 - Beast Vs. Ra's Al Ghul =

Match 6 - Grand Master Vs. Ganthet =

Match 7 - Professor Hulk Vs. The Riddler =

Match 8 - The Vision Vs. Brainiac =

Match 9 - Thanos Vs. Darkseid =

Match 10 - Hank Pym Vs. Steel =

Match 11 - Professor Xavier Vs. Oracle =

Match 12 - Spider-man Vs. Nightwing =

Match 13 - Odin Vs. Shazam =

Copy and paste the matches and then write who you think the winner of each match would be...and then count up the wins and see which universe has the most wins.

Match 2 - Reed Richards Vs. Lex Luthor = This is Lex's match to lose. Reed is smart, but this kind of match favors lex.

Match 3 - Black Panther Vs. The Joker = Joker. He's just that damn good.

Match 4 - Iron Man Vs. Blue Beetle = Which Beetle? Most likely Iron Man.

Match 5 - Beast Vs. Ra's Al Ghul = Ra's. Beast is smart, but this is not his area. And Ra's is a master at Chess.

Match 6 - Grand Master Vs. Ganthet = Ganthet. Grandmaster is vastly overrated.

Match 7 - Professor Hulk Vs. The Riddler = Can't call it.

Match 8 - The Vision Vs. Brainiac = Brainiac. Brainiac is in another league.

Match 9 - Thanos Vs. Darkseid = After the reveal of who was behind Countdown, there really should be no doubt who win this one. 😉

For instance, do you mean if you have scans or issue #'s that shows a character playing chess or beating another character can you post it? Definitely. Anything you can add to back up your answers the better...

I remember a scan someone posted a while back that showed Joker beating Ra's Al Ghul in chess....and then Riddler beating Joker....

Match 1 - Dr. Doom Vs. Batman = Batman. I think this is where Batman's smarts are. Where Doom is the man with tech, magic, armours, mathematics, and science. Batman knows tactics and such. This match will last a while.

Match 2 - Reed Richards Vs. Lex Luthor = Lex Luthor. Read above.

Match 3 - Black Panther Vs. The Joker = I have no idea with this one. I'll give the slight edge to the Black Panther. Joker will give him a **** of a ride though. It really could go either way.

Match 4 - Iron Man Vs. Blue Beetle = Tony Stark.

Match 5 - Beast Vs. Ra's Al Ghul = Beast. This is what he does all day.

Match 6 - Grand Master Vs. Ganthet = Don't know either.

Match 7 - Professor Hulk Vs. The Riddler = Riddler. See Match 1 and 2.

Match 8 - The Vision Vs. Brainiac = Is this a joke? Braniac.

Match 9 - Thanos Vs. Darkseid = The world shatters. I'll give this to Thanos.

Match 10 - Hank Pym Vs. Steel = I have no idea. They're both super-genuises.

Match 12 - Spider-Man Vs. Nightwing = Nightwing. He's Batman's son.

Match 13 - Odin Vs. Shazam = Assuimng this is the wizard, not Black Adam. Shazam. Does Odin even know what Chess is?

Darkseid loses his match because he obviously doesn't know anything about chess. When he was playing the Monitor he said they were at the Lucena position, but that can only happen when there are only 5 pieces left on the board, and there were way more than that.

DS played a reality-warping chess match with Eclipso awhile ago. The match ended in a stalemate.

I've NEVER seen Thanos play chess.
