The manager of my local gamestop is pretty cool. Since I been a long time customer...(oh gosh! since 2003 when I first bought KOTOR) and since it's one of the stores that got the MOST pre-orders is So Cal they're doing all these things.

And thank god they got rid of the host advantage in MP.

Have the game, now I am going to go play it. It's 3am where I am and I don't think the WiredX505 I drank is going to wear off anytime soon. Btw, they had grilled steak sticks where I was at, they were delicious. Anyway, time to go play, peace.

So, how much of this game is set in dark enviroments?
The more light/outdoor scenarios there are in a game the more I seem to enjoy it (still living in the hope fo seeing a horror game set in a flowery meadow).

Sure does, and that one s my must awaited game in 09 (unless Conviction decide to come into existence in 09), but how is Gears 2? I've seen a lot of above-ground and daylight stuff, but how much of the actual game is that?

So far I'm still in Campaign. Decent length, not sure how close I am to the end but I can't imagine it being much further. So far my impression is that this game is awesome. I think I preffered the gunfire in the first game but it's not anything big enough to stop me from enjoying Gears. The environment is so much cooler. The environment you're in changes drastically from level to level. I hope to play horde later tonight, likely will. I'll post back after awhile.

Phew, just beat the campaign, talk about non-stop gaming. What can I say? The game kicked ass, I wish there were less underground levels, but overall it was definitely a solid game; better than the first I'd say. The ending left a bit to be desired/was kind of ambiguous, but I'm assuming they just did that so that there can be a Gears 3. Now I just need to get Xbox Live, I've been putting that off for far too long.
