I've read a few issues, and they were pretty good.

And I was reading but since moving back on dorm I haven't been able to keep up with the series

I dropped it after issue 4. shit sucked.

I think it's an okay series.

It's good for a couple of laughs, but nothing more really.

First few issues were good, but it's gone downhill since moving to Dynamite, pretty crappy now.

Just read the every issue. So far Its not a bad series. The over the top jokes aside, you can tell Ennis is going the "Preacher route' with the series which isn't a bad thing.

Thinks might be picking themselves up.

the paddy's day issue was just... what the hell... though the barman was awesome.

And Tek Knight is still my favorite character from the series. Although I do have to say that the first issues were better than the newer ones.

Butcher's cool. i've read till 29. okay so far but i'm disappointed that Ennis aint living up to his initial promise that it will "out-Preacher Preacher". the jokes and one-liners aren't half as good as Preacher. Ennis is almost being like Miller now: his own wannabe like in Dark Knight Strikes Again (and fails miserably)

The plot just isn't good enough to beat Preacher.

You can't out-preacher Preacher by adding some random sex and violence. He needs a stronger story and characters.

ditto. i was hoping that when Butcher finally confronts Homelander they'd show a different side to Butcher besides the cocky bastard. for a while it looked like it but then Ennis f'ed it up by turning it into another joke. what made Preacher what it is was not the one-liners or the jokes but the story, the narration and the characters. Boys lacks all three thus far. it's like Ennis is distracted with his own need to be funny i.e. he's being Frank I-wanna-be-myself Miller. Butcher's characters has potential and his story has elements of tragedy. why turn it all into slapstick, tongue-in-cheek humor?

Meh when it first started it looked like it was going to be a classic.

Then after a few issues it just seemed to snow ball into the more tongue and cheek side of things, and now I think its going a little overboard.

Yeah it has the potential but there's nothing serious about it so I take none of it seriously, I can easily miss it as a series and I don't like any one character in it......bought the first 3 trades and I may pick up the next one to see if it improves but I'm losing faith in it....
