Interestingly, back in the day Walter Simonson said something about the strength of "his" Orion being on a level with Mangog, but since continuity doesn't back that up (at all), Mangog takes it handily.
Well, too bad you're not here, but Simonson also wanted to tell a story of Orion's true form and power. Sucks it didn't happen.
