You really think so? I'm not so sure myself. I think General Grievous is pretty good, if unorthodox. Obi-Wan as of the third episode could defend against him, but can earlier versions of himself and Anakin do the same? Neither practiced Forms III and V at this point.
Obi-wan switched to form III after episode one, and anakin has always used form V.
But the duo takes this GG is great in the cw but obi-wan and anakin as of the AOTC do work very well togetehr as a team and i think after a long hard match they'd be able to take out the general
Originally posted by Blax_Hydraliskjust because GG's arms are robotic doesn't mean they work separate from the rest of his body. crushing his chest weakened him as a whole *chronic cough*. i mean, he went from being a jedi killing machine, well adept in lightsaber combat - to being easily humiliated by obi.
GG's torso was wounded, but how does that affect his robotic arms? His overall ability was damaged but his dueling speed and such would not be affected by his injured chest, since he's robotic.
and if "obsession" is canon, mace did much more than crush grievous' chest.
Please. According to facial expressions, the script, and the novel, it was not EASY for Obi-Wan to defeat Grievous- he just did that after a relatively short period of time, and it was thanks to his style's advantages over Grievous, which is why he could defeat Grievous with more ease than an otherwise more capable Jedi, like Anakin, Yoda, or Mace.
That being said, however, I believe Grievous wins here.
Originally posted by Blax_Hydraliskdon't get me wrong, i believe obi still would've taken that battle even if grievous was at his height. all i'm saying is that had grievous been in tip top shape, it would've been a much better duel - with him at least fairing well imo.
And you're not sure that he was easily humiliated by Kenobi because... Kenobi's just that much better then him?
