Re: Are White people ready for a Black President?

If, IF, Barack Obama wins, will the majority of White people be ok with it?I dunno. Alot, tons, of people i've met said no. I've seen all kinds of polls done at colleges, newspapers, the Internet, television the news, the radio, discussions saying that the majority of White people would not want Obama as president simply because he's Black. And that the whites that do vote for him do it cause he's half black. Or cause he looks safe.
Some people are saying that he might get assassinated if he becomes president. He's already received death threats by White people already. I dunno. He was already compared to JFK, or where they secretly alluding to his fate.
I know the KKK and nazi's are definitely fuming over this. Fact. And may be even planning something. Who knows.
I don't think he should be president. I mean, I wouldn't want him dying, for sure. But it is a question to white people.. Would you accept Obama as president regardless of skin color? Or not?
I like Obama, I hope he makes it to the white house, I really, really do.
Regardless of skin color, he seems the right man for the job.

According to my poll, about a third of (white) pollers here on KMC would not accept Obama as President because he's Black.Yet racism doesn't exist (as i've been told on here numerous times by whites on KMC and on the outside)
lol, lmao
would you like to see my poll, coco?

Again with your antics... NO ONE HAS EVER SAID "RACISM DOESN'T EXIST", as a blanket statement.
What people discredit is your "All White people are racist", "Most White people are racist", "White people hate Black people" rhetoric. That is a far cry from what you're trying to imply, racist.

He has a good speaking voice, big ideas, and savvy. But there's something about him that makes me think he has a hidden agenda that he won't announce to the world until he's elected.

I can't decide what's worse: a blatant racist or a closet racist. I mean, at least a closet racist can function in society and with other-ethnic co-workers without making enemies everywhere.
Pero I think you act 'normal' at school and work, and save all your anti-white venting for KMC.

No actually he raises a slightly (Though much too radical) point..
It's sad to see so many of my brothers and sisters fail epically at life when there are so many services aimed exclusively at helping them.
Plus there's a double standard. Why is it okay for Will Smith, Chris Tucker and Chris Rock to go on national TV and make fun of white people but when a white person says anything that even sounds slightly derogetory toward blacks, they're sued and fired?

That's a good question, actually.
I guess it all really depends on the position they're in though. A person in a position of authority, these days, is typically the one who is forced to closet their feelings.
When it comes to the nobodys in the world, it doesn't matter if they fit into column A or column B, they can't really effect too many people. At least not in many ways that matter.

On pain of losing social status. That's not prohibition of anything. That's smart people who shut up.
Getting arrested for calling a black man a ******, is a violation of one's freedom of speech. Regardless of common sense or politeness, that's still true.
I edited my post, btw. Violation was the word I was looking for, not prohibit.
