I'd firstly like to point out that it's extremely obvious that Subjekt knows nothing about the technical aspects of singing, and what's he's talking about in general, and after being outclassed on every point, and completely unable to continue them, and back up ridiculous claims (such as Kady Malloy being one of the least talented female contestants in the show, or David A being the undeniably most talented one), has resorted to whining like Gerret Hailey on Helium, and I'd encourage everyone to point at him, and laugh, and maybe even throw stuff at him (preferably large, heavy objects).

Well thank you Neb for acting like you know me. Thing is, i couldn't give two shits what you think, so having said that...I'm in agreement with Escape that its kind of an easy way out to stardom, when most notable and memorable artists work their asses off to achieve their goal, and these kids will end up with deals whether they win or not. Too easy.
As always, you don't know jack about the subjekt we're debating on. As has been shown to us with all the exposure that most of the contestants have been receiving, the vast majority of them have been working at this for years - some actually already having been signed to labels (and thus having worked towards it before hand - examples being Carley Smithson, and Kristy Lee Cook), and some repeatedly trying out for the competition, Season after Season (examples: Danny Noriega, and Chikeze Eze). Then of course there are those who've independently released albums (Kady Malloy), those who have been in bands and toured with them (Robbie Carrico, Luke Menard, and Jason Yeager to name a few), and those who have previously been on other talent shows (David Archuleta and Alexandria Lushington for instance were both on a show called Star Search). It's pretty clear that the majority of the contestants have been working hard at what they do, simply by virtue of what we know, and if you could actually think logically, you'd realise that with a show as popular and competitive as American Idol, that you'd need to have an extraordinarily high level of singing ability to even make the top 24 in the first place, and talent alone hardly ever makes someone a great singer; they would generally have to have worked hard at it to reach such a level.
And to say that the judges on AI don't know what they're talking about is a tad ignorant and arrogant to say the least. Its their JOB to know what they're talking about.
I said that they don't on one count, Subjekt, not in general, I think you'll find, and please, the judges are hardly the greatest and most objective experts on singing in the world. I'm not denying that they are authorities on the matter, but it’s not like they haven’t corrected themselves in the past, and it’s not like they don’t ever disagree (they do it on the constant). Given that American Idol is a show made for entertainment, it can be logically assumed that they were all picked first and foremost for their personalities, and because they’ve all been doing different jobs in the music industry (you have one singer (Paula), one musician (Randy), and one record label head (the Simon)), making quite a nice versatile group, who all have different perspectives on music. I’d certainly rate my own opinion above any of the those that the judges give, given that I actually know my stuff, am completely objective on the matter, and have no ulterior motives behind what I’m saying (whereas the Judges will constantly be trying to make the show exciting and entertaining, and their critique would most certainly be in concert with that).
And everyone knows only losers keep changing their names to get on a free internet star wars forum after being kicked off 20 times.
Right.
And everyone knows that only extremely uncreative old men with puny brains have to repeat what’s been said about 5 million times rather than come up with their own material. Everyone knows that.
