Imitation: Malekith has the ability to change his form to resemble those whom his enemies would trust.
Flight: Malekith is able to fly and appears as a thin streak with Malekith’s face at it’s end.
Armour: As a Dark Elf, Malekith has some protection from physical attack.
Dark Faerie Magic: Malekith is an adept at Dark Faerie magic whose full range of abilities is unrevealed. This allows him to project energy beams, blinding beams, travel through dimensions and drain life with his touch.
The Wild Hunt: Malekith has a huge horn which can summon hundreds of demon hounds known as the Wild Hunt to pursue and capture his prey. Malekith can transform into an eight-foot tall warrior known as the Huntsman, which further increases his strength and invulnerability.
Food of Faerie: Malekith also holds the Food of Faerie. This deadly food, created by Hela, goddess of death, causes the souls of those who consume it to be drawn to Hel, while their bodies are possessed by Dark Elves.

vs

Morgaine Le Fay

Morgaine Le Fey is a sorceress skilled in the use of black magic. She has cast spells that are able to control even the strongest of supernatural beings. She was able to transport Wonder Woman to another dimension (The Nether Plane) and fight her for her Amazonian fighting skills. By using a device she was able to magically view individuals from miles away.

She is immortal although she claimed to have lost this ability. As shown in the Wonder Woman comic, she must "steal" immortality from other immortals in order to maintain her youth. After Merlin robs her of her youth and beauty she wears a golden armour to shield her withered and ancient body. Morgaine also possesses a machine capable of binding beings and stealing their immortal life forces

I've read the comics with Malekith, he wasn't that impressive. Morgaine FTW

not sure which mage is more powerful, but dark elves are vulnerable to iron.

That's 'Malekith'. Who wins really depends on the tactics, because Malekith's a sneaky git if ever there was one. Fighting dirty might tip the scales in his favor, in a straight fight both the DC and Marvel version of Morgan (who I suspect is actually his half-sister) would probably kick his duo-toned ass.

Marvel's Morgan is also vulnerable to iron but obviously to a lesser extent thanks to her human blood. She's survived the destruction of her body, while Malekith died when he got his neck snapped. He's back, but he's had to escape from Hel (norse version) twice already 🙄.

Malekith's a potent sorcerer but his magic seems more subtle and primarily geared towards deception and escaping as quickly as possible. If there is enough ambient light he can't escape by any means other than flight. Iron effectively cancels all of his spells and a single bullet could be enough to kill him via poisoning if it gets lodged inside his body. If picking up a gun gave him 2nd degree burns just imagine...it really sucks to be a Dark Elf if you think about it.
