OT Luke is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, and the majority of post-RotJ literature tossed that out the window. NJO, DN, and LotF can go die, preferably violently.

Yoda and Obi-Wan are pure gold, and are the only characters appearing in both the old and new trilogies that I can say had the transition handled almost perfectly.

And Mace = badass. 'Nuff said.

I liked OT Luke a lot. I thought DE ruined what the OT built up. Luke having his doubts and the whole dark side angle just sucked.

Indeed. It sparked the whole overpowered scheme and shat all over the established canon.
