Where was Grant Morrison when writers like Loeb and Jurgens were turning Darkseid into a brawling top tier, with energy beams?

It amazes me how some of his past writers failed to add gravitas to the most diabolical being in the universe. DS hurts you, you don't walk away from a fight with him without losing something.

I may not agree with some of the stuff Morrison introduces (miracle machine, Kalibak losing to Tawky Tawny of all people etc.) but I got to love how big a New Gods fan he is.

God no, not even near that fast, as Superman would never be able to dodge them or even avoid them for more than a millisecond if they were 1000xFTL fast.

Their speed varies a lot

I heard it used in debates in the past, although I had a feeling that claim was far-fetched.

Apparently this Darkseid is a MULTIVERSAL entity as He goes around destroying JLA's from other universes, the JLA of earth 1 was the first one capable of "defeating him"
