2009 Movies

To keep my little "trademark" here at KMC, I think it high time to start getting people excited about films coming out in 2009. I was inspired to do this right now as I learned about the fact that the new Star Trek movie was moved to 2009. So here we go!

As a primer, I'll notify you that as the thread progresses, I use colors to note certain kinds of films. Blue means I, Strangelove, am interested in this movie. It's my thread, I get to do that. Green means that either the film is new to the list, or the release date has changed. Red means the title has changed in some way. Italics means that the film will be in limited release only. I also use (parentheses) when a film title has a comma in it and I don't want people to be confused.

A couple new things I came across while updating the 2008 list. I'm also introducing a new color denotation into the post: Orange means the film is a documentary.

And thanks to Jaden for two others.

TBA 2009
Interstellar
Jurassic Park
Lincoln
Truth in Numbers?: The World According to Wikipedia

Also, Superman: Man of Steel is still looking for a possible 2009 release, I believe.

I look forward to all these movies that are being talked about.

My 2009 movies(not in order):

Transformers 2
X-Men Origin: Wolverine
Astro Boy
Where The Wild Things Are
Wolfman
Watchmen
Monsters vs. Aliens

I think Avatar excites me the most. Too bad we have to wait until December of 2009. 😬

Avatar does look promising. I'm waiting for James Cameron to release some pictures from it.

As much as I love the idea of a Watchmen movie, I know that it will most likely end up a flop just like the rest of Alan Moore's adaptations.

By gum, you're right. It's listed as July 2009 on IMDb. I'll have it up next update, thanks.

I have good feelings about it though. The casting decisions were really good, IMO.

I found a cast listing at IMDB.

Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan? Hmmm........

Jeffrey Dean Morgan was a really good choice at the comedian, I think. Jackie Earle Haley was also a good choice for Rorshach.

Angels & Demons
Shutter Island
Where the Wild Things Are
Fantastic Mr. Fox
The Surrogates
Akira
Final Destination 4
Pride and Glory

I suppose the above are the ones I am most looking forwards to out of that list.

The Lovely Bones
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Angels & Demons

I'm looking forward to these 🙂

These should be great movies.

I have the book The Lovely Bones and I really enjoyed it ✅

Also Lucky by the same author (Alice Sebold). This is actually a memoir of hers.

How about the remake of Barbarella?
