The Lizard Respect Thread!

from lizard's very first appearance in "The Amazing Spider-man" #6:

lizard's withstands a bullet and lifts a large tree,scaring human's away from "his swamp"

here's the lizard's first battle with spider-man(also from ASM #6).lizard catches him by surprise and wins by BFR:

lizard rips spider-man's web's "like paper"

lizard gets the best of spidey for the second time in the issue.spidey admits he's underestimated his strength:

their final battle in this issue.lizard shows his ability to telepathically control reptiles.spidey eventually triumphs by making lizard swallow the antidote,but lizard did his fair share of wailing before and after that act:

lizard breaks through a concrete wall,WITH A WOODEN BOARD!

lizard and spidey fight in ASM #44. lizard basically dominates the fight the whole time.he leaves spidey injured at the end.spidey even hurts his knuckles on the lizard's face.lol:

REMATCH.issue 45,spidey's still hurt,but he wins by using his wit,luring lizard into a very cold environment.the thing i don't get here is spidey says he subconsciously pulls punches with lizard because he's curt,but then he goes and says his punches can't hurt him and that he can't win with his strength alone.

spidey fights the lizard in ASM #76. lizard's taking the upper-hand(as usual),so spidey decides to fake his demise and regroup for another attack but is foiled by the human torch who comes to "rescue" him and finish the lizard:

here's the conclusion to that fight above.the human torch attacks the lizard,trying to end him,but spidey hinders him and in essence saves the lizard.but here the lizard still shows to be formidable. he endures a powerful blast from johnny meant to pierce his skin(he said so himself),and he shows agility by dodging many of johnny's blasts. he shows strength that i considered out of his range(12 ton) by lifting a large tower and swinging it.he also endures johnny boiling the water that he's in.

lizard achieves a stalemate in a short fight with stregon the dinosaur:

Whoa wounded2 (especially @ the artist rendering)...

i really like that pic,even though it strayed from the lizard's usual appearance quite a bit. i must admit though i really like the lizard's look the way it is.still a great pic even so.

the art above it with spidey and lizard is simply the best though IMO.i love it.

new feat:

lizard fights "the iguana",another reptilian villian(all lizard,no human) to a stalemate with spidey's interference. the lizards is unfazed by them crashing through the ground from the top of a building as well.
