How did obi wan survive?

the opening duel with dooku:

I can understand surviving a force choke and maybe being tossed across the room, but having a floor panel pushed onto your body?
how was his pelvis not crushed?

I always wondered that too. That panel not only fell on him, it also ground him into the floor. I mean it actually moved him forward while crushing his hip.

Then again, Anakin didn't have much trouble moving it, so maybe it's a very light material.

force nothing. *sigh* you can clearly see that the structure was shaped and fell in such a way that it left enough room to only pin down kenobi's unconcious body but not crush him.

a better question would have been "was is cooincidence or did dooku intend to spare kenobi", the likely answer being the first. case closed.

the panel wasn't flat it had a leg at either side so it wasn't able to crush him, and I don't think dooku realized it didn't crush him, but palps did you can see the look on his face as damn it it didn't crush him that is also why palps wanted anakin to leave Obi-wan.

I always thought that part was done poorly, when it falls on OB1, there was like...nothing...I dunno, hard to explain, but it just looked really bad. It could have looked better.

It's true though, we see the metal at least ruffling OB1's clothes and pushing him... later on it's more over him than on him.
