Sorry guys. I haven't been devoting the time that i should to this thread. The Pens need to step up that Defense. It is a damn fine thing to see Fleury back between those pipes. Damn!, he really is a great goalie. It was hard seeing Colby armstrong score on the Penguins. We never should have let him go. Staal is looking to be a liability if he doesn't step his game up. We need some wingers, badly. Malkin, Crosby, Sykora,Talbot and the devil (satan) are making magic out there though. That last game should have been another blow out after the saves Fluery made in the first, but the Thrashers nearly came back to win the game hadn't it been for a few lucky bounces.

That warrents an 6 game NHL suspension right away without any sort of due process. Most suspensions are infront of a review board but his was right away. No discussions at all.
I have no problem with him being fined, which any other sport is the case. But 6 games, thats whats ridiciolous. Any sport fan would look at that and say " you can beat the shit out of somebody to the point of cracking his face, but calling his hot ex gf sloppy seconds warrents 6 games, that sport is barbaric."
There shouldnt of been a suspension at all. A fine yes, not a suspension. He didnt do anything wrong.

you're right, there should have been a review on the initial suspension; it was sort of knee-jerk. whatever though man, i have no problem with it.
maybe the league used this incident as an excuse to penalize him but you cant say he didnt have it coming. they've let situations slide one after the other, enough is enough. just this year hes been involved in 4 or 5 things that were inappropriate.
fighting is part of the game, calling the press over after practice with the intention of insulting other players and their girlfriends is not.
yeah and those fines really do the job eh, they really cut it out of the game. these guys earn that shit in a week man, they dont care. he wants the fine, more publicity to fuel his ego. even if you dont agree with the way his punishment was carried out, at least this way he's actually getting punished.

I've seen worst on ice moments that intently injure people than some bad words that are not actually offensive.

roy and brodeur were and are great players; unfortunately, when you're worth that much money it gets washed over. i dont remember hearing about them beating their wives but thats just the way it is.
