no its true, kaiten WAS broken and there was an explosion as a result. that is why neiji was so busted up but was still standing because {as explained} the initial force of the blast was directed away from neiji because of his spinning motion and mostly hit naruto. but there is no question that kaiten was broken through, otherwise, neiji wud have been completely unharmed.
Thank you Leonheart.... its not like the explosion was a ongoing flamethrower or just a fire....it was a quick explosion from the impact of the two chakras. And I have seen Kaiten last for a good while. Like the longest was about 3 to 5 seconds I think it was 3 if i counted right. Either way....fraction of a second is shoter than 3 seconds. So yes Kaiten was definetly broken

Here is the first two times he does Kaiten in the fight. He's completely cloaked in chakra where you can't see him.

Here is right before the explosion happenes. Kaiten is already at it's end and just about gone when Naruto hits it.
And also the Kaiten Neji is using against Naruto is probably much weaker than the what it would become after training with his uncle who could teach him the technique properly since it is a Main branch move and Neji developed his Kaiten himself without training from anybody. Course that's just speculation on my part and pretty much pointless since I have no proof I guess.

you read 401?
@magee - Yea I've been saying that since the beginning of Shippuden almost. The story has been nothing but about Sasuke...with the minor other parts like Shikamaru avenging Asuma or trying to rescue Gaara.
Eh sure Naruto is in it a lot if you count Naruto through Naruto Shippuden but like over half the series is dedicated to something about Sasuke even if he's around or not. Chunnin Exams had a lot to do with Sasuke, obviously the Sasuke retrieval arc did, and since Shippuden started Naruto has done very little compared to the first half of the series, and it's been mostly either about Sasuke or trying to find Sasuke with little side stories in the midst.
