I have an opening post prepared... but... I don't know what the storey is at this point. The last I read was just after the apocalypse, and Benji destroyed everything, and everything was reset, we all became spirits.... actually the first Vamp had a pretty perfect ending... then this one, and I was busy with my exams... Vrix and John almost came back, but my mum found out I was using the internet, and that was it.
And so it begins...
Vrix looked across the city, a city he had once known. There was a chill in the air- not that it bothered him, and snow drifted gently down under the silvery half moon light. He watched from his position on high up one of the skyscrapers, standing on the edge of a ledge as all the small beings in and out of their cars and the accompanying lights darted back and fourth.
He smiled, his long coat swishing a little in the slight breeze. He could smell the taint of coppery blood, could vision the hot red liquid. The hunger spread. But he was hungry for something else- someone.
Somewhere out there he knew the return of his presence would awake the soul of this person, give them the sense of the hunt. It would also awake those who hunted him. His eyes focussed on something not quite there, and then as simply vaulted forwards into the snow filled night, down into the night. He was gone.
A year.. A long, painful year had passed. Kiki stared out over the city from the towering skyscraper that was her home. Her mind was on the past. Years ago the city, and the world, was in terrible danger. Now her city was at peace. Humans lived their lives in comfortable ignorance. They were unaware of the terrors that walked among them. Those who knew of her kind often came to live in the tower. It was a sanctuary for her people; a haven. Despite the soldiers who lived on a level below her quarters, the tower was otherwise a place of peace.
The snow silently fell outside. She watched the flakes dance on the wind. Few people were left. Many of her friends and companions died bringing peace to the town. Her own feelings didnt matter though, she had to worry about her people.
