Lich by now had reached the town. The cemetery, for superstitious reasons, was always kept at the edge away from all the normal people. That meant that Brom spent most of his time alone. But now Brom will be perpetually accompanied. Lich was grateful that it was night. Though he can only be seen by supernatural things, being supernatural himself, he felt very uneasy during the day time. The light no longer carried its deadly effects as it once did to his type so long ago. Yet perhaps he can not escape his nature which lends itself to his uneasiness.
Lich was rounding a corner of a ghetto. It didn't have much save the very crowded living space. He glided across the street until he reached an abandoned factory. "This will do," he hissed and he made his way into this empty building. Perhaps at one time this factory brought life to this town. Gave hope to this people, wealth to families and food to children. Perhaps it made the clothes they wore, the utensils they used, or maybe just gave the people work to do. Whatever its purpose, it was devoid of it now. It's metalic emptiness reminded Lich of building he once stayed at once. It was a contemporary creation of a Transylvanian castle. His to be precise. He never realized at that moment how much he missed his home.
He found a corner in the building that didn't seem to be lit by the moonlight. He paused letting his mind wander. To imagine if something would spring out of the darkness and take him. Nothing did. He moved into the void and stood there. He would stay for 7 days and nights until someone came and found him. If after a week of nothing, he would move on to a new location and curse the place he once was. Yet if within those days a person discovered him and successfully answered his riddle, he would bless the location and serve the person. It is a part of his penance, a part of his curse.
He passed beneath the moonlight, emitting no shadow. Once he entered the darkness he stood there for the chosen one to arrive.
un fortunately there was no sewer entry in the nearby warehouse, so jason thought of a better way in. THE OLD WAREHOUSE where his friends and he hung out."come on this way." he came to the doorway, looked both ways, then stepped in. not noticing lich standing in the shadows, jacen walked to a large factory drain. he grabbed a handle, and the crowbar beeside it and started to pry it open.
Tammi sighed and followed close behind him. "Wow this place is creepy. Hurry up Jacen I want to get this over with." She rubbed her arms and stepped back, giving him a bit of room to work. "You know if they got her then they must be immortal... I mean why would humans want a dead body?... Maybe we should just let the Prince's army take care of all this.. I dont think mortals should be messing in immortal affairs."
She frowned. "Well... What's so bad about that? I mean she's still your baby.. You'll still love her right?" Kiki groaned and rubbed her eyes. 'Stop yelling, my gosh!... And why should I listen to you, hm? You dont own me. And your making all of these threats of killing me.. Have you forgotten Benjii? YOU CAN'T KILL ME UNLESS YOU DIE AS WELL!'
jason grimaced, "well-" he grunted as the drain lifted slowly,"- she's my friend, and i dont want some bastard raping her dead body , mortal or immortal." he pulled hard and flew against the wall next to lich as the drain flew open. he shook his head and looked up at lich. his eyes flew wide and he yelped out as he climbed away. he pulled up his revolver. "what the fuuk!?"
Lich didn't move from where he was standing. It wasn't uncommon for anything to react in such a away. Even the life in trees seemed to escape them. Lich proceeded forward, the moon lighting up only one side of his body to leave the other side in darkness. "Put your gun away, boy," lich growled the black smoke pouring out from his graspy breath. "If a gun could kill me, I would have been dead long ago." He did not avert his eyes from Jason. "Have you come to answer my riddle?"

Tammi jumped and spun to look back at Jasom and Lich. "Oh my!..." She stopped and just watched Jason and Lich.Kiki smiled. "Did I mention that if I die without you drinking all my blood, you'll come back in your permament hybrid form?" Steph frowned and nodded. "Yeah?.. What is it?"
Lich looked upon her with a glare that would freeze any mortals soul. His eyes flared with a black flame. He lifted his hands, which too were burning from a demonic fire, to the girls face. His jaw moved up and down. No sound came. Slowly but surly, it came with a rolling call. It came faded, less faded, and less faded until it was normal sounding, before it began to fade again:
Always old, sometimes new, never sad, sometimes blue. Never empty, sometimes full,
never pushes, always pulls. What am I?

Tammi frowned and thought this over for a moment. "I-Is it death?"Kiki rolled her eyes and shook her head. "I'm not... You are.. You keep fighting me." Steph frowned and shook her head. "I dont understand... Benjii what do you mean?"
A flame shot forth from his hand and grazed Tammi's arm. Because the wound came from this dark looking fire, it did not burn with a fiery sensation but rather with a freezing touch that sapped the life out of her arm. "Wrong," he hissed as more dark mist poured out from his mouth. "Think of what you utter for we wager lives in this game. If you win, you gain my service. If you lose, I win your life." He smiled, but the smile was empty of any joy. It was a smile he would have done in such a situation, but by decree of his cruel ancestors, he would smile to no solace or gain. "Do not think you are free to drop this challenge of mine. By your response, you have bound yourself to me. Try again."
Ok.... Vrix?)
Whats been happening?)
Zekelaz returned to Jak. "I tried. She wouldnt listen."
"Thank you."
Vrix looked over at Zekelaz and Jakalez (full vampire names). "You tried. You tried. Its up to Kiki now, only she can help bring us back." Vrix (Jaun Xavior) kneeled down and tried to see through the clouded mind to Kiki. 'Kiki!'
***
'Kiki! Kiki! Kiki! Kiki!......' Echoed over Kiki's mind in Vrix's voice like you might hear in a haunted mansion.
Benjii is talking to her too she's on the streets and he's at home with steph.))
Kiki's eyes widened. "I understand... I'll hurry. But please understand that there is a risk that you might end up like me... I'll try hard to bring you both back... I promise." She frowned and started off for the hospital.

Tammi shook her head and clutched her arm. "I'd rather not. Come on Jason lets go." She kept her eyes on Lich as she slowly made her way towards the sewer.Kiki blinked and looked up at the sky. There were two sets of voices in her head right now. "What?" She answered.
Lich stood before her still, still emanating in darkness and spewing the dark mist. "I don't believe you understand. You have entreated my riddle, you MUST ANSWER IT! Unless you forfeit something of yours in return." He stared at Jason moving his hand to face him, "shall you take her place?"
