I say let them wear the tags on their hats and kicks. do they look ridiculous? yes. are they exercising their own free will? definitely.

I don't even really see why it looks ridiculous. There are goths/emos and that who wear eye liner etc when they're male, I wouldn't personally wear it, but I don't think they look ridiculous either. It's usually the person who looks ridiculous, like I often see these muscly blokes who think they're god's gift, wandering round in the tightest tee shirts they can find. It's their cockiness that makes it ridiculous, not the tee shirt.

No, not really, just because you conform to a societal norm doesn't necessarily mean you're doing the sensible thing. If you think it looks ridiculous, then fine, in your eyes it looks ridiculous, but there's no objective right and wrong when it comes to what you wear.

Common sense tells me not to wear a wool jacket on a hot sunny day while hiking through a desert.
