I would have to find an issue in which he used it prior to Odin's death.Regardless, it is nearly impossible for Superman to withstand the Godblast.
Why is it impossible? Show a scan of him using that blast on some body. I've seen Supes take alot of punishment from magical attacks. I think Supes can take it. 🙂

Here:Thor states before unleashing it upon The Juggernaut, this attack has driven away Galactus himself and even given pause to a Celestial. This attack would certainly KO Superman. Thor wins. 🙄
Galactus was weakend. And Superman isn't going to stand in front of a blast. Superman can just as easily melt the flesh off Thor body with about 5-6000 degrees of heat vision. Superman wins. 🙂
Heat Vision? Thor battled Firelord, heat vision is nothing his hammer can't block. Probably wouldn't even affect him. It'll hurt him, but not drop him.
This will KO Supes
Finally getting an idea of just what he's up against Thor pulls out his ultimate and most extreme ability. Thor summons the very godforce that flows through him and combines it with all the power of his enchanted hammer and releases the two combined energies as one unimaginably powerful beam. As Thor states before unleashing it upon The Juggernaut, this attack has driven away Galactus himself and even given pause to a Celestial.

Thor using a godblast:
Superman amps the heat vision up to about as much as the suns surface and the fight is over. Superman isn't going to stand in front of a Godblast ether; I think he can take it anyways. Or Superman just speedbiltz him, or even better just take his Hammer and the fight is over. 🙂

Sentry I hear exactly what youre saying, but let me say this.
I DO think a godblast would ko Supes. BUT I also think that a full blast of heat vision(temp of suns surface) Would ALSO ko Thor.
Supermans omega blast heat vision is like Cyclops when he takes off his visor, but you say Thor would block the heat vision with the hammer. Ok I will give him that.
But just like Thor can move fast enough to block the heat vision, Superman should also be fast enough to dodge the godblast. Its only fair.
I think whoever gets hit first whether it be Godblast or Ultra heat vision, they are getting k.o.'d. Does that make sence? I think so.
