Death of Marvel Hero's.

Wolverine 66 issue comming out in june. Is set 50 years after a fate full day in which Marvel Villians over came the hero's. Most hero's were killed. I not sure if it is simply a wolverine story or a huge marvel story.

Also Hawlk eye one of the few hero's alive 50 years later. He blind and ask for Logan to help him. Wierd thing is Logan has not been a hero or fought it seems as Wolverine sinces the death of the hero's.

wierd story, wonder if it going to be a big event and what do you all think of it? Have you heard any thing about it?

Yeah, it's Mark Millar writing a storyline called "Old Man Logan." It's not an 'event', just a Wolverine arc set in the future.

And according to Millar, it somehow thematically and continually fits into both "Kick-Ass" and "1986."

I dunno. It sounds like typical current Millar. I miss the days when he wrote things like Swamp Thing and Superman Adventures that were just so much fun and full of heart. But I'm hoping this'll be more like "Ultimates" then like "Civil War."

Might be worth checking out.

I just hope he not drawn as an old man lol

I wouldn't worry too much. If I recall correctly, it's non-canon anyways.

Since it's the future, it won't be any more canon than The Dark Knight Returns, Days Of Future Past, Kingdom Come etc. In the end this will just prove to be Earth-21455 or something.
Besides, we already had Logan as an old man in Wolverine:The End, and that's not canon.
Still, this will be a fun read with that crazy Millar pairing again with McNiven. Just enjoy for what it is.

If the art is good then sure I will check it out, Mark Millar is not bad anyways.

Millar said he wants to make this canon.

MM: Not entirely. I love the idea of Wolverine's solo book being stories from his present and past, but nobody's done the future yet so that seemed exciting. And I wanted it to be canon so I tied the story into Fantastic Four. Both are being published at the same time and since the FF have time-traveling capabilities anything is possible. The second FF storyline—“The Death of the Invisible Woman”-- is where this really kicks in.

Doesn't matter what he says - the future is always speculative, so it can't be canon. If it was, how would it jibe with the apocalyptic world ruled by The Maestro Hulk, She-Hulk & Abomination from Hulk:Future Imperfect? Or the future as seen by Zarrko The Tomorrow Man from the 25th century? And so on and so on...
They are all just alternate futures.

Oh, RR I agree with you...I just stated that MM wants to make it canon that's all. 😛

I like that Thor has been killed but Hawkeye is just blind.

Well, Thor had his turn during The Reigning - killing & enslaving all who opposed his rule... 😮
Better be a serious event to kill him off. That nuclear war for Future Imperfect just wasn't enough to convince me.
