I could watch any of the ones mentioned countless of times but watching that scene from Passion of The Christ one time was enough for me.

Chun-Li Vs. Vega from Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie

Fire extinguisher scene in Irreversible.

Also the rape scene, afterwards the guy smashes her face into the cement over and over. Both more brutal than anything else mentioned in this thread.

I don't think I've seen anything as brutal that lasted as long as the 8 min scourging scene followed by the crucifixion.

All in all, till they pierce his side with the spear, that's almost 30 min. right?

well, that and when they made him carry the cross

The Opening scene of Lucio Fulci's The Beyond is disgusting. The guy gets beaten by rusty chains and then his face gets cover with hot plaster. Trully sickening and downright disturbing.

Other brutal and disturbing beatings...

Scorpio in Dirty Harry.

Edward Norton in 25th Hour.

Joe in A Fistful of Dollars.

Django when the Mexican rebels capture him.

There were one or two good ones in Pan's Labyrinth, surprisingly.

yeah, i remember that. That was sexy and tense at the same time, METAL!!

Fist of the north star has a killer beating in the beginning

Eastern Promises, the spa fight, and the fire extinguisher smashing in Irreversible.

The two most brutal beatings I can think of.

The one in Shawshank Redemption wasn't particularly realistic or prolonged, but you felt it.

Was The Beyond the movie where that guy's face gets eaten by tarantulas?

When the Captain literally beats the face in of that 17 year old "boy" wit the soda-pop bottle....and then CONTINUES to beat the face in. That was, IMO, the most brutal beating I have seen in a movie...and I have seen just about every movie mentioned in here.

I don't think I have ever seen Irreversible. I just added it to my Netflix queue.

I was gonna say that scene in american history X, the curb stomp made me cringe

I just watched it on Youtube...

Made me cringe as well.

Patricia Arquette in True Romance.

The rape scene is hard to stomach, just a warning. Intense movie though.

From what I can remember, yes it was in The Beyond. Haven't watched it in donkeys.

Now that I think of it.....The Beyond is all about Facial deformanity...the guy with the hot plaster in the face....the guy with tarantulas...the zombi girl shot in the face....the plumber's face gets rip apart....the maid with the acid in the face.....gosh, Fulci was amazing!
