DC vs. MK

I feel like they overpowered the Flash.

Flash is fine to be honest.

Scorpion and Superman are over powered. You can beat nearly any one online by using Supermans shoulder charge and ground pound. Scorpion has a continuous combo which if you take the time to learn is nearly impossible to break out of.

Yep, and as I pointed out before, Supes's heat vision is pretty spammable/abuseable.

Oh, and Scorpion & Shang Tsung are my favorite characters on the MK side, and Batman & Deathstroke are my favorite characters on the DC side. Go figure.

There's a bunch of idiots around the internet saying there will be a MKvsDC2. How? Even if Midway survives through bankruptcy and decides to make MKvsDC a franchise like Marvel vs. Capcom, how can they keep this going any further? Both of the sides discover that neither is the enemy, and Dark Khan is no more so the rage can't control them to fight eachother. There's probably only two options. A portal appears or Thundergod's idea, Mr. Mxy being a total di** LOL

Heh. Yeah. An MK vs DC2 seems a little too out of the loop for now..

Anyhow, wow... I just faced some of the spammiest people I've played in my life online in this game (the spamminess of my previous online gaming experiences is nothing compared to this). The Kitana users are the worst. They just keep using her roll attack (which you can't block unless you're ducking), then her special aerial move, and rince & repeat. The Superman ground pound abusers are pretty annoying too. Of course, it's no surprise that the man of steel would be an overall broken fighter. lol
Only won like a couple times with Scorpion so far.. I'm quite pleased with how much more useful/powerful his hellfire is in this game (even when you're not performing a combo with it), and I like that slide move of his too. It gets old quick though when other Scorpion users spam his teleport punch to no end.
Most of these players online are like freakin' Megaman bosses. You have to memorize all their movements/attack patterns in order to win. Sure I can beat most of them if I improve/try hard enough, but it's not really fun that way. Thankfully, I still have yet to come across any Heat Vision abusers.

My favorite DC fighter is Catwoman and my favorite MK character is Jax.

Well, you have to remember that certain players will do whatever it takes to win.

As for that vid you posted, rofl. I saw that on the site that had the MK comic scans, but never actually watched it until now. That was hilarious. Was Mrs. Sub-zero pregnant though? 🤨 Looked like it. haha

Yeah, she was pregnant.

Heh. I figured as much.

Like Bruce in The Dark Knight said "I see now what I would have to become, to stop a man like him". Case in point, I'm not gonna become one of those chumps who simply plays to win. I play a game to have fun, and it's no fun facing players who spam/abuse a certain move or 2 to death, regardless of whether I win or lose against them.

I don't blame you. Playing against a fighter who spams alot is both frustrating and annoying, but it's good to win without using such noobish and cheap tactics.

what are people spamming exactly?.. are you using the rage meter to do the alpha-counter from guard position often?..

Yeah..

Kinda. I admit I forgot how to do it at first (having popped in the game right after playing some other stuff for awhile), though I guess I should use it more now that ya mention it. mmm Thanks for the reminder. 👆

As for your first question, the main moves they tend to spam are Sub-zero's Ice Nugget (which is unblockable) and his Icy Counter, Scorpion's Teleport Punch and Slide Kick, Raiden's infamous torpedo, Superman's Ground Tremor, and worst of all, Kitana's Rolling Fury and Square Wave Punch/Assault (especially when her 2 said moves are consistently used right after the other). Seems there's not much one can do when people abuse most of those specials. 😬

Such a balanced game, mirite? dur

Can't you sidestep when they use the Ice Nugget? And what about the Breakers?

Agree

Basicly if you want to win against some one who is'nt completley shit you won't be using punches / kicks / combos, only special moves. Not exactly the most balanced fighting game around but It's still fun.

I played this game in full over the weekend and I can sum it up in one word, Awful! the cutscenes were hilariously bad in some places and I could complete all of the story mode simply by tapping the X button, sometimes the A.

The story wasn't all that enthralling either and Dark Kahn has to be one of the least original boss ideas around, this could be Midways last game..... and that's the best they could produce, what a disappointment.

As for the overpowered characters yeah that was annoying as well, who knew Dark Kahn had such a powerful ***** slap!

The Ice Nugget falls pretty fast though, so most of the time it's kinda difficult to dodge by simply side-stepping.

Bah.. I guess you're right. Punches/kicks/combos were what I grew up on though (as far as playing Mortal Kombat), so it won't really be the same as to just rely on special moves, but eh.. I guess I'll live/adapt to it. ermm

Yep. I pretty much agree about the story, though it did have its funny moments here and there, and I loved Shang Tsung's voice acting (the Joker's, not so much). Actually, most of it was pretty good, but the predictability of the story mode kinda took away from that. As for the final boss

That's all I have to say.

I honestly don't believe you played it (or at least, not enough).

Because the game's so "awesome" that if he played it enough, he'd have to like it?

This game isn't horrible, but it isn't great. It's not a game that I would get serious about playing. I play it for fun and not real competition. I wouldn't really go to a tournament for this.

lol if there were a tournament for it though, I wouldnt mind watching the vids for it..
